well no.
because we're married.
honestly doesn't matter.
what matter's is that abstinence happens for OUR relationship till marriage.

but really,
i would of really hoped that she would of been honest with me.
Why is abstinence before marriage so important for you, then, if her virginity (and presumably yours) is not a prerequisite?

Good question.

if we refrain from sex,

it'll help us build a more stronger foundation.
it'll mean that im not in it just for the sex (which builds trust, loyalty, etc)
it'll sort of 'better our moral fibre/ethics'. (which would help in the future)
I'd be in a better position with the inlaws

no need to worry about pregnancy scares.
something new and exciting to look forward to after marriage.

You're 18...

So i'm assuming you're either:
* planning an early marriage, or
* you know your criteria may have flaws and are planning to enter into a long serious relationship

Sex will do more for that than abstinence therefrom.

Are you that insecure that you'd have to worry about that? If you're so afraid of that, then wait for a month or three THEN start a sexual relationship.

it'll sort of 'better our moral fibre/ethics'. (which would help in the future)
How? What's so morally wrong/unethical about sex?

I'd be in a better position with the inlaws
What they don't know won't hurt them.

Sorry to say it so bluntly, but have you had a long term relationship, or a sexual relationship, or both?

just because a girl smokes/drinks/has sex doesnt make her any less of a person, and i think you're going to miss out if you reject chicks on such superficial grounds

tbh i think your marriage is just as likely if not more so than anybody elses to fall apart. marriage is about openmindedness and acceptance, dealing with the other's flaws..
I have to disagree with the 'any less of a person'.

let's take smoking for instance.
unless her mother was smoking and got her addicted when she was in the womb, you'd have to be really really stupid to start smoking in this day and age (that is, 2009, and in sydney, AUstralia) when the effects of smoking have been proven to cause cancer, and all sorts of other health issues.

now in her teen years she made a bad decision, why can't she quit smoking?
now i really don't know how hard it is, because i've never been there, so i'm not going to say that it is easy. But i have known people that have quit smoking, and i'll say that it's a matter of a strong will.

Marriage is about love, trust, loyalty, sincerity, and a solid foundation.
if you have those, chances are you have a better chance at not getting a divorce than john and mary

3rd:
know my criteria is just a 'draft' really, when the right girl comes along i'll know.
i won't compromise on the first 5, but everything else is fly.

and yes, i'm only looking to date to marry now.

I kind of agree with the smoking thing. I'd never date a guy who was a smoker, largely because I find it so profoundly disgusting.

both.
read my other posts.

let's play assumption:

we'll take .. emily and sarah.

emily has slept with 13 different guys (this is the average apparently for a 25yo women)

sarah has only slept with one.

which one of those is more likely to have an affair?
which one of those is more likely to have emotional baggage?
which one of those is more likely to be afraid of commitment?
which one of those is more likely to have a divorce?

you can yell profanities at me, telling me i'm stereotyping blah,
but that's they way i see it.

why do so many ppl care so much about sex b4 marriage???
i can understand that mostly it is a religious thing, but sex is just a natural thing, so who cares? i dont believe that refraining from sex will make u any more of a better preson than someone who does have sex. in many instances, u can have sex, and still love them completely, WITHOUT being married!

Early..

Lol, and did you get neg repped from making this?
yeah probably.
and as for early,

well i have relatively 'high' standards.
so it'll take a while i guess.

that, and the fact that im joining the defence force, where the ratio is 5:1 Men to Women apparently, doesn't help.
(and the women who go into the defence force are usually tom boys)

So, I've made the decision to exclusively date to marry.
So no casual relationships, no 'fun fun' times.

anyway, let me know if you fit my criteria. (or most of it)
I'm not looking to go 'hey asl' to whoever does,
but I just want an idea of how many there actually are.
you can reply if you fit at least 3 of them.

anyway, here it is:

you are:

a female. (although i'm interested in how many guys i share interests with)

a non smoker
non drinker (you don't drink to get drunk. you might have one or two standard drinks, but rarely)
don't take illicit drugs
believe in abstinence, and marriage being a life-long thing.

Don't like rap/gangsta rap/trance/electronica.
now when i say don't like,i mean the literally don't like.
you don't not like it, nor do you like it.
so it's 'meh' to you.

Don't really care about designer labels.
you realise that the original desiners for chanel, gucci, versace, etc are all dead and are just run for profit by asian buisnessmen

not into hollywood gossip.
into philanthorphy.
you can play an instrument, preferably piano or violin.
i think i hate this f:mad1:ckhead

you know NOTHING about the fashion industry, so crawl in a hole and die

None of them are more likely? You really are stereotyping (and I love it how you only use females as examples), without having much consideration to individual circumstance (and a poor grasp of statistics).

Look, it's biology. Sex/orgasm releases a hormone called oxytocin, which is involved with and drives the chemical basis of romantic attachment in the brain. The more sex you have, the more oxytocin is produced, and the more attached you are to your partner.

that's quite interesting.

so what happens with pornstars?
does the 'oxytocin' create a different variant for each different partner?

can i stereotype you.

okay lets see..
you've got an eating disability? yes?

your so painfully insecure about yourself that you have to resort to wearing designer clothes in order to prove to others that 'you have an identity'.

OR.

are you the type that can't afford designer clothes, so go to indonesia nd buy that fake crap?

what's funny is that the people that made both probably earned the same ammount.

No, but it does contribute to (or perhaps create, it's not clear yet) those feelings of attachment with a partner you have had sex with repeatedly. Of course, it operates in this fashion in conjunction with other hormones (i.e. serotonin) associated with romantic love, so it doesn't apply in situations of casual sex (usually).
