Nah, I think they're long enough. Any longer than 3 hours and I begin to get a bit fidgety, and my attention begins to wane.

I think by too short the OP means the exam doesn't take 3 hours to finish. In fact it usually takes much less time.

Hmmm, well I finished my trials in like 2.15, and 2.30 ish. But I dunno, I don't think it was 'too short'.

Yes they are too short. I only found that out for my trials :(

I mean come on, compared to 3U, I think Science papers (although I can only speak for Chem and Physics) are way too short.

3u maths is almost immpossible to get through unless you do 4u, the sciences are just shit at writing papers, and lazy markers!

3 unit i don't think is too long - 1 hour for Q's 1-6 and 20-30 mins for 7? (if its difficult)

sciences i think 3 hours is heaps, especially the recommended time for MC (can be easily finished in 10-15 mins)

4 unit is my most stretched for time subject

I fail to understand why one would complain about a short paper.

Can go slowly, take time to logically set out and answer questions with time left over to double and triple check and let your mind wander, who loses out here?

I think they're short because the markers want you to answer carefully and structurally so theres no brain dumping

i agree with this 100%
i usually finish with checked answers at the 2 hr mark, or just over ~2:15 that is for physics and chem

I finished my Biology Trial in 2 hours and 15 minutes and got 92% I think if they put more skills and/or essay like questions people would use up the full 3 hours. I know people who attempted the whole paper and took 3 hours and only got 70% :haha:
