So everyone knows that felt tip>ball point for essay writing.
Wondering if anyone out there has a favourite pen that's good for essay writing i.e. doesn't smudge and minimal pressure

I was wondering about that yesterday. I don't know, I use kilometrico and I hate them. Need new, good pens...

Lately I've been using Artline 200 felt tip pens
But the tips on these tend to break or get pushed in the pen too easily
any better brand?

nah i find my parker ballpoint is so much easier to write in than my staedtler felt tip ones. maybe because i'm paranoid about breaking my felt tip ones. but i find my parker pen the easiest to write with.

Feh,

Kilometrico pens do the job fine.

If not, I always have a BiC Ultra Round Stic Grip and an HB Pencil on the table.

It really depends on the shape of your hand and how you write.

Those 4 in 1 pens are horrible. They're so fat and strain your wrist after a while.
I've been practising writing with my kilometrico, and I guess it's pretty good and doesn't smudge much

I use a ballpoint pen, but the ink always dies. I hope it doesn't die during my maths exam

baha, i'm a lid chewer too...

i hate kilometrico pens unless they are brand new, the ink fades to quickly and i hate writing when the ink is too light.

I always use an Artline 200 nowadays
Bought a 12 pack at the beginning of the year and I've only used up 2 so far :)

just get your essay written and leave the exam room. don't worry over petite things such as which pen should i use.

but for the sake of the discussion, they say that at home or in the classroom, you should use a heavy pen, and then in the exam use a light pen (like a kilo-metro) this will strengthen your hand and when it comes to the exam, the pen will feel like a feather so you can write faster. but in my opinion, i don't give a cr*p.

A good tip for before exams... In the year or half year (might be too late for some now but someone else might be able to use this tip) you should tape two or three batteries to the end of your pen to strengthen your hand muscles, that way, when you get into the HSC exam, the pen feels heaps light and you can write really really fast.

I like felt tip pens too for big essays =]

Kilometrico are awesome.
But I use a Parker pen for exams and clicking on Parker pens are sooo addictive, so not that great of an idea to bring them into exams haha...

BiC: Ultra Round Stic Grip <33

Glides so easily.
Love writing essays with it.

Also, I find that when I do my signature with this pen, I do it another 10 times before I can put it down. By that time, there's signatures all over my notepad.

I might add that I'd give them a pen-lid chew rating of 4.5/5.

Not too soft that it'd boring too chew.

Not too hard that you have to go to the dentist after exams.

i dunno the difference between pens

but atm i'm using papermate which is good because it slides smoothly across the paper, but the ink i quite thick which can be a disadvantage for me especialy because my writing can be quite close together and messy.
