How is it oxymoronic...?

There is great hip hop out there (putting aside the sort of crap commercial hip hop that glorifies violence/misogyny etc). It is spoken word and poetry with a beat. Hip hop is poetical. A lot of hip hop artists deal with social and political issues, it's great.

I haven't had a chance to listen to the stuff posted on here yet but I have never heard a good hip hop song...I've looked for them but never found them, rap and hip hop are the only two genres of music i don't actually listen to regularly.
