His Idiocy and right wing nutter nature does that for him
whats wrong with being right wing conservative over a left wing socialist?

aka would you rather high economic freedom with low social freedom or poverty with no social freedom

Well put it this way, Malcolm Turnbull has actual policies in his head.

Tony Abbott just aposes everything labor does cause its his job.
not necessarily his job, other leaders of the opposition havent opposed 100% of the govt's policies.

tony hasnt proven to me that he is intelligent enough to be PM - sure he can oppose policy if he wants, but he needs justification other than i dont agree with rudd.

we need a PM like malcolm turnbull, like kevin rudd (to an extent) but not another john howard (im refering to tony here) who has no plans to do anything.

ill say it again, scuba - go back to vietnam if your that anti-communist.
im not advocating communism, neither is rudd. those are facts.
i dont care about right/left wingers or conservatives and socialists.

what australia needs is a PM with plans, like malcolm turnbull and kevin rudd.

their from separate political parties, yet they see eye to eye in the fact that they need to actually do stuff while their in office.

Being just 'conservative' isn't as far right as socialist is to the left. You're looking more at fascism in that respect.

Fascism is bad.

Also, the common person doesn't really care about economic freedom if they still can't do the things they want in a social context.

I kind of like Malcolm Turnball. He was somewhat refreshing as an opposition leader when he didn't entirely disagree with everything the Labor Party was doing just because he was the opposition.

One of the great mistakes is to judge policies and programs by their intentions rather than their results. Milton Friedman

basically just because a government does something doesn't mean its right or good for the country. one of the worst statements to live by is that any action is better than none.

let me rephrase then right wing conservative is better than a welfare state loving, economic crippling, social democrat?

also i hate fascism being called right wing because that clearly makes no sense ,a huge authoritarian government that controls the lives of its people and basically fucks its country over sounds pretty socialist to me aka USSR/North Korea etc

i agree with you. but your misinterpreting what im saying. theres a difference between doing something for the sake of doing something to having a plan for the future.

having a plan for the future is better than not even bothering.

unless you want to throw more quotes into this argument i suggest you stop assuming the worst.

the quote still stands the 'future plans' you talk about is the intention. government can't operate in an efficient manner if their lives depended on it. the government puts itself above the economy and peoples lives thinking they know best. but its like a 4 year old putting a fork into a wall socket. he thinks he knows what hes doing but hes just gonna fuck himself over

Until you learn what a socialist actually is I don't think its worth explaining it to you.

sorry when ever i talk about socialism, i overlook any good intentions they have and go straight to the outcomes of socialism, equal distribution of poverty.

however I'm open to listen to your interpretation of socialism

Read a book by a call called Marx then an essay by a guy called Keynes. You'll find they are quite different.

mate Keynes may of wanted government intervention but he hated socialism. so I'm trying to understand here are you actually trying to defend socialism?

You've equated Keynesianists (and moderate ones at that) with full blown socialists more times than I could count. It's very reassuring you do actually know there is a difference between Keynes and Marx but thats a far cry from knowing what either of them actually said.
