You may as well while you look for something else, you practically live there anyway...

Every single public holiday, sometime around 3.30, someone tries to do this in my store. Pretty used to it.
Will have to do an 8-week course of 3ic-ing. hmm.

considering it..

Now that I no longer do tickets I don't notice the music at all - it gets switched off as soon as we close, its far too noisy while we're open, and I don't do opens very often.

Speaking of open, it just dawned on me that my opens next week are the first opens that I've done by myself since probably this time last year? Maybe?
Yeah I'll ask our 4IC for help tmoz.

Just like the lights in liquor get turned off automatically 5 minutes after close. So I'm there spot checking four draws last night with just the light from the register.

Tomorrow is going to be terrible. We had to cut 5 ALL DAY SHIFTS down to 3 3.5 hour shifts, one in the morning and two in the afternoon.

Gonna be massively busy, our LLM has picked out her favourite express lane :p She likes the one with a pole directly in front so that noone can see her :)

You can tell its nearly EOFY - now I'm kind of glad I'm part time.

That might explain the THREE hours I got for next week. I pretty much work every weekend and I ask for ONE off. Grrrrr.
I'm doing my part! I gave up my shift for this afternoon (well it was 7 hours, and I gave it to a 15 year old and cut it to 5 hours), then I'm having next thursday night off unpaid, then the following week I have A/L for ten hours and the rest of the week N/A'd.

Except that I have made myself available for the Sunday and Monday public holiday coming up..... And yeah.

Last year from June to September I pretty much got 5 hours a week, maybe 8 if I was lucky. And my availability wasn't terrible either.

hahaha that reminds me.. the other day when i was on open we were standing around and the lady in produce who used to be on checkouts and is now only on occasion, comes up to the service desk when the more upbeat woolworths song came on and was like joking around and she goes OMG!! WE SHOULD MAKE UP A DANCE TO THIS WITH POM POMS AND EVERYTHING!! haha we were all like OH GODDDD! lol then it made me thing about that bloody training video about safety where all the checkout chicks were dancing with the baskets and shit like umm.. WTF?! hahaha

Okay, so you know those five shifts that f/e cut for today? Add in another two all day sickies. And the extent of replacing that we're allowed to do is bringing me in two hours early. Today is going to be awful.

I just got a job at safeway (woolworths) and had my induction last saturday and my first shift on wednesday. they tell me to come in today to look at the roster and i do

it says not avail (or something like that ) all week for me... does this mean i have no shifts? this is really annoying, i mean how weak is it that they can't give me one shift.....

im thinking about calling up the manager and having a talk with him over this, i dunno but they expect a certain standard and work ethic of us and in return i think it's reasonable for us to expect that ... oh i dunno maybe we get some work?
