Gmail is 100x better than hotmail if you're sending emails, i only use hotmail for MSN. But i do take pride in my @stoned.com email which anyone can get from here http://www.stoned.com

ahaha I'm still using hotmail, my same address since yr 6 :D I have a gmail account but never really gotten used to it's interface. I prefer using Windows Mail 2011 and downloading emails rather than viewing them online for the ability to actually save emails to my HDD. Even though Hotmail also has an online counterpart to it, which is good for viewing emails on shared computers.

Hotmail has always been there for me and never had any problems with it so yeah. I'm not saying gmail is bad, I just prefer hotmail at this point in time.

Hotmail. Had it and Yahoo Mail for many, many years ( before Gmail came along), so had no reason to sign up for another service.

Yeah, I agree. Gmail is easier to use and as much more professional looking when on a resume IMO.
I don't give a shit about everything I do being monitored by Google or whatever.
That said, I use a mail client so I don't really give a shit.

There is no benefit to using hotmail/live. Gmail is respectable amongst peers, and even better is your own domain.

I just use email clients to sort all mine out anyway - cleaner that way.

Mail on the Mac, or Outlook is always nice.

When people say Gmail is easier to use, I wouldn't know but, who finds hotmail in the slightest way difficult to use?

not so much as in difficult to use, just the fact that Gmail is more straigtforward...the way gmail is set out, the way that its user friendly, thats what makes it nicer to use imo.

oh sorry, misread Aquawhite's comment. For own domains don't you have to pay for a server per year to host it? Think it was like 50 bucks or something a year.

Yeah I think you do. Thats what we have..my dad has a few domains and he pays a company an annual rate to host them on their server. I think you might b able to get it for less than $50..
