Your subjects sound really interesting! I wish I had more room to study linguistics. I'll be doing your French againSemester 1

LNGS2613 - Computer Applications in Linguistics
LNGS2615 - Language, Brain and Mind
LNGS3690 - Issues in Theoretical Linguistics
Semester 2
FRNC2622 - Senior French Intermediate 4
LNGS2614 - Language Acquisition
LNGS3601 - Semantics and Pragmatics
LNGS3699 - Linguistics Research Issues
There should be a box to click and then you drop them. How can I drop units of study for my Arts degree?
I clicked on 'update' and then went through to all my subjects, but how do you drop units of study? It only shows how to add a unit of study
Thanks
What browser are you using? My first attempt was with chrome and i had the same problem as you. Then I tried it on Internet explorer and worked just fine.I'm in the same situation. I have units of study that need to be dropped but whenever I tick the box and click 'save changes', it gives me the message that I haven't done anything and I need to do something such as add or drop a unit of study, even though I just tried dropping it. I'm not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but this is confusing me to no end.
Yeah, I was using Chrome but everything worked fine with Firefox. Thanks heaps for the help, rep'd.What browser are you using? My first attempt was with chrome and i had the same problem as you. Then I tried it on Internet explorer and worked just fine.
Click on the drop checkbox next to the UOS you want to drop then update.
Good luck! Hopefully I'll be following in your footsteps. Post pic of timetable?Third year, so I'm going all out!
Semester 1:
BCHM3971 - Molecular Biology and Biochemistry - Genes (Advanced)
BCHM3981 - Molecular Biology and Biochemistry - Proteins (Advanced)
MATH3961 - Metric Spaces (Advanced)
MATH3963 - Differential Equations and Biomathematics (Advanced)
Semester 2:
BCHM3972 - Human Molecular Cell Biology (Advanced)
BCHM3982 - Medical and Medicinal Biochemistry (Advanced)
MATH3964 - Complex Analysis (Advanced)
MATH3968 - Differential Geometry (Advanced)
Updated to advanced courses.See you there.
I'm doing:
Semester 1:
CHEM1901 - Chemistry 1A (Advanced)
ENGG1801 - Engineering Computing
MATH1001 - Differential Calculus
MATH1002 - Linear Algebra
PHYS1001 - Physics 1 (Regular) (I'm legit worried about this unit. )
Semester 2:
CHEM1102 - Chemistry 1B (Advanced)
ENGG1802 - Engineering Mechanics
MATH1003 - Integral Calculus and Modelling
MATH1005 - Statistics
MBLG1901 - Molecular Biology and Genetics (Advanced)
Don't quote me on this but if I recall correctly, the only difference between BIOL1001 & 1911 was the assessments. They may have restructured this though as I've noticed that Advanced students seem to have their own lecturers which I don't recall 2 years ago.Sem 1:
Psyc1001 - Psychology 1001
Phil1011 - Reality, Ethics and Beauty
Math1111 - Introduction to Calculus
Biol1911 - Concepts in Biology (Advanced)
Sem 2:
Psyc1002 Psychology 1002
Phil1012 - Introductory Logic
Math1013 - Mathematical Modelling
Math 1005 - Statistics
Biol1002 - Living Systems
Currently having second thoughts about Concepts in Biology (Advanced)... Don't know if I should drop down to the normal one....
Psych + Phil Majors here I come!
Assuming I don't transfer into the B.Psych next year
Perhaps this year we shall finally cross paths.Your subjects sound really interesting! I wish I had more room to study linguistics. I'll be doing your French again

Is that the introductory latin course? If so it is very intense (especially if you have no latin background). You get almost to HSC standard (in terms of grammar etc) by the end of the year. Since you have studied languages you may find it alright in terms of grammar etc but I (and many others found) found it very difficult. I did a lot more work for latin then any of my other subjects. It required a lot of memorisation. I would say it would be necessary to attend the lectures. When I did it there were weekly (or fortnightly, can't quite remember) class quizes that contributed towards the final mark, so you would have to attend those classes definitely.Perhaps this year we shall finally cross paths.
I'm also considering changing to the following so I can graduate this year. Anyone know how intense the Latin course is, and whether or not it's a good idea to overload and skip half of the lectures due to clashes?
