Lol. I call them boxer's because I like saying boxer. It differentiates into a different class of engines that not many people acknowledge :p
I wouldn't say they are radically different from any other engine layout really tbh, as opposed to a rotary engine for example.

Yeah true. Rotary is the most unique shiz I've ever seen. I still don't understand how they work exactly. Research time for me!

However, the boxer doesn't just change the engine layout, it changes the whole chassis.

It allows the centre of gravity to be much lower, which is why Subaru have decided to increase the Outback's ground clearance.

Also, if it weren't for the boxer, then you need a completely different system if you want to get AWD.

Of course, AWD is not ideal in every situation (Harder to drift or burnout), but then again for everyday driving, I would much prefer AWD.

After comparing a brand new front wheel drive, two other FF's, the smoothest acceleration has still been in a 90's AWD.

You don't get that cradle rock up or down when accelerating.

A mate lent me his SL55 for a month. I took havox for a spin :)
Once I get Full (3 years) I'll want to take an R35 for a spin. Might think about getting a Turbo WRX or Turbo R34 on fulls though.

Hoping to get a chance to drive these on a track one day: R92CP and 787B

Nice.

That area looks sick too. Is it an industrial zone?

yeah, its near my joint... I usually pour petrol there...

wouldn't try anything stupid around there... I guy on a motorbike T Boned a car there doing about 180km in a 60km zone a day before NYE (predictably, he died)... There has been a big police presence ever since (as there should be)

its pretty much a road you take to get onto a main road which would take you into the CBD of Melbourne... its a mixture of residential and industrial... once you get on to Footscray road, its Melbourne docks (which you can probably see in the photo)

Generally all speeding in the city is a bad idea and just asking for death.

Accelerate all you want but don't break the limit.

Re: Who actually has a car?

I have me a 2008 Peugeot 308. Before that I had an Audi A4. I don't drive much cuz I am very close to a train station and that serves most of my transport needs.

Re: Who actually has a car?

Car isn't under my name, though I use it most and will be using it daily when I'm starting uni.

So I guess you can say its mine to drive and enjoy.

Its a 90's subie.
