I would take just a pen and paper to my lectures if the lecture slides didn't take 2 months for them to be posted on Moodle

Re: Laptops @ Uni

If you feel like you need one go for it, but for most people they become a really useful tool for reviewing Facebook or other stuff. It might be useful for some degrees, but to be honest, pen and paper is just as good. Then again, this is coming from someone who never even took a bag to uni (that is when I bothered showing up).

I just didnt need it - too be honest, I spent most of my time avoiding uni. My degree should be "Bachelor of Broadway Centro (major JB Hi-Fi)"

Re: Laptops @ Uni

It's a step up for sure, but if you have good habits in High School then you should be set.
Tbh bro, I am very scared for next year..

Like you said it going to be a step up and I am not sure if I have the ability to handle it.

New surroundings, new ppl and etc.

I am 17 and I keep on making the excuse I am immature to go to Uni, and that it should only be for +18 year olds

It's a logical progression though, like you should be able to handle it if you have good habits in HS. It's a skill you will need for your career, because from uni to work and from work to higher work, that jump will always exist.

You'll be fine. The transition isn't as daunting as you think. It's actually good that you're concerned about your ability to cope (I mean most people are probably like ''yay, time to party hard in 1st year'' or ''no more study'') - shows that you care.

Also, try to stay on topic (i.e. the use of laptops in university).

Re: Laptops @ Uni

First year uni is easy. Legit just chill for the whole sem, and study for finals a week out. Take it easy
