at times i wonder why i go to UNSW but then i remember that i heard that USYD's computing courses make you write code on paper... (someone verify this) so.... 🤷‍♀️
I mean writing code on paper can be viewed as pointless but it does kinda force you to think about what you're doing, but doing it for anything but thinking about your program's design is pretty stupid.

um no but my friend got in and he needs like a 90 atar and also its one of the top uni's from what ive heard sooo
don't believe in this myth of top uni bottom uni, just go whatever uni gives you the most things you want.

e.g
if mac is close to you and you want to do a cybersec course, i would recommend going wsu since it might be more specialised whereas unsw's cs might just offer a plain cs degree (covers everything) with maybe 2-4 courses (not sure but that range) related to cybersec.

yh just coding head on is pre stupid for hard tasks, saves so much time just thinking abt the logic and making a mini-map on how the programs gonna work, learnt that in my assignments, saved me so much time later on. I was joking abt that, only reason I didn't go USYD is bc i had scholarship for UNSW + most of my friends went to unsw.

my man stuttered over text
my genuine reaction had to be captured over the internet in some form, some stereotypes need to be broken

yes "smart" students go to unsw since it has good research opportunities + good rep + funding

but most of the students are your "regular" students as in they are there just to go grab a degree and get into the workforce.

there are def smart students in WSU/mac which are considered "low tier" unis by ppl due to stigma however you should never ignore a uni based on rumours/stigma. Look at the faculty and the opportunities you get in your program THEN make a decision.

No one cares if u go to UNSW or WSU, the only thing that matters is that ur able to get ur foot into the door whether it be for research or work.
