i feel like nesa should allow them for every student though as long theyre foam yellow ear plugs. like to prevent cheating the school should have to buy a sealed box of those 200 pack ear buds so that no one can sneak in an ear bud or whatever. its very slightly unfair with distractions, bcuz some schools have 200 kids and theyre able to get them to fuck off away from the exam room, whereas other schools have 1200 kids who are all little shits who will still dick around next to the hall and there arent enough teachers to wrangle them.

at least you're getting all the very writing heavy subjects out of the way, it will feel a lot more relieving in the long run

also the exams for modern and english go by really quick since you have to write so much
So much memorising its insane :chainsaw2:

I use builders headphones bc earplugs mean I can hear my breathing and my heartbeat and that stresses me out.

do you get rest breaks as well? i get those, but they wouldn't allow me to get extra time bc I can read/write too well which is annoying bc I need extra time for maths

also update - i spoke to my school and my trial exam extra time has being increased back to 5 minutes per 30 minutes. they initially put it down to 2.5 bcuz thats what they applied for with nesa (idk why), but i told them im really struggling so theyre increasing it to 5 for trials.
how did you qualify for extra time - as in like what did you send to them/ show nesa? nesa is so annoying about extra time i have legit never finished an exam and they still won't give me extra time

nesa has declined my extra time as well so my school is appealing. im also in the same situation where my school suspects they are declining because i do well

fr why would they do that

and then religion on Thursday too it sucks
Yeah need some advice desperate - if moderns on Wednesday right after english paper 1 and 2, and although i've gotten moderately strong marks in the course I havent prepared at all for it what should i be doing now. Our modern trials are worth only 30% so ive kind of neglected it, since i barely have any time what study should i prioritise doing for the exam

just knowing pure facts, if u arent too bad at the subject, just knowing straight facts and not doing any practice etc could be just fine
