bruv phys proj motion is so dumbed down compared to 3u proj mot I don't know how you arent getting it
what's the point of using integration when you get the same answer? and this is how university textbooks teach it too. With extension 2 math, atleast they have a reason to use integration because the projectiles have air resistance

more intuitive than suvat and for some qns it's actually easier (for people good at math)

chances are the physics teachers are clueless and don't know what they are looking at when they will mark it since they don't need to understand calculus to be a science teacher for some reason. My physics teacher doesn't know how to solve quadratics properly.

you probably have the time of flight for the whole journey (pre sure t = 0.897), where its 1. jumping to reach max height (t= 0.56) , 2. then falling down from the other side of the bar (t=0.33) . Subtract the time taken to reach max height since it asks for the bar to the ground (0.897 - 0.56) . Then since you know ur vertical velocity from part a) divided this by sin70, multiply by cos70 and multiply that by the new ToF to get your range (ans is 0.67)
