yeah i def wrote the least for the essay, i wrote like 8 or 9 pages for xerxes, 7 for persian society, and used 1 extra page for pompeii and herculaneum, but for greek world i only wrote like 5 and a halfMy only gripes with the exam was the last question on the Julio Claudians. I chose option B as opposed to option a cause I didn’t remember much of Augustus’ death and its impacts. But overall I wrote the least for that compared to my other sections
yeah i think roughly the same for my equivalent of those topicsyeah i def wrote the least for the essay, i wrote like 8 or 9 pages for xerxes, 7 for persian society, and used 1 extra page for pompeii and herculaneum, but for greek world i only wrote like 5 and a half
how many words do you write per line? i do around 6 i think (my handwriting is pretty big)Do I just have really small handwriting, because my essay was only 3 1/2 pages long???
12+ per line hahahow many words do you write per line? i do around 6 i think (my handwriting is pretty big)
For section 4? Idk I wrote a little over 6 pages, most people at my school did 7-8 with decently neat handwritingDo I just have really small handwriting, because my essay was only 3 1/2 pages long???
oml yes you have small writing and yes you're absolutely fine for word count12+ per line haha
source E was an extract from professor wallace hadrill, who started the Herculaneum conservation project. basically a massive archaeological project in Herculaneum aimed at restoring the town through funding, as the town received even less international funding than pompeii and was neglected.same here lmao
yeah ty, i talked about how it has less public buildings so it makes it harder but i just feel like it didnt link to the question as much yksource E was an extract from professor wallace hadrill, who started the Herculaneum conservation project. basically a massive archaeological project in Herculaneum aimed at restoring the town through funding, as the town received even less international funding than pompeii and was neglected.
even if you didn’t get to study him, all you really needed to know is that he was talking about how Herculaneum by comparison has far less public buildings which makes studying its public life a bit more difficult. but you can make inferences from the bathhouses and the theater that’s there as well as the absence of many public buildings to show the wealth of the town
i didnt do enough, i wrote like 4 pages of actual stuff and then an extra page and a half of yap (i think im cooked)how many pages did you guys smash thru for section 4? historical periods
omg this is so real, i feel like the essay qs were a bit weird this yr but that may have js been my sectioni didnt do enough, i wrote like 4 pages of actual stuff and then an extra page and a half of yap (i think im cooked)

yeah same, ngl for the second one i think there was a bit more (but i wasnt familiar with that part of the syllabus lol do i didnt do it), but then for the first question it was assessing victory or smth in 2/5 battles (all 5 battles are in the one dot point)i did new kingdom egypt to the death of ramesses iii, IMO i feel like there just wasn't that much to talk about for the qs they give
Screw you dudeIdk if this will help last minute, but i walked pas my schools printing room and my mate in the year below took the paper. Pompeii is on animal remains and eruption, also essay is 2 delian league questions for essay and part is role of women lowley so weird but hope this helps guys

like that was so narrow what
yeah, i did the second q for my section, but for the first q it was like evaluate the role of post amarna pharaohs up to the death of horemheb, and w that there's only like 2 main pharaohs you can really talk about in depth (there are like 5 main pharaohs overall in the syllabus). idk why nesa r narrowing the scope of these essay qs so muchyeah same, ngl for the second one i think there was a bit more (but i wasnt familiar with that part of the syllabus lol do i didnt do it), but then for the first question it was assessing victory or smth in 2/5 battles (all 5 battles are in the one dot point)
