yeah I was told by my teacher to write ab social pressures in one and behaviours in the other, hence the shortness. also its 950 wrods so i think its relatively close to how many words students used for 3 parras
Oh and one more thing, since this is adv and you're doing 4U english with 12 units, only your best 2 units for english have to count so adv might not even count if you accidentally flunk it

Bruh I just got 70% on my at2 due to poor handwriting which was weighted 20%. I’m not too sure what to do here. I know I am and was definately capable for more marks for that essay especially since I got 0 feedback for the formative which had nearly the exact same wording to the real thing. Seriously so disappointed about this. Am I not able to b6 English? We have ~36-48 b6s per yr, I know I am make a significant rank increase since my cohort overall is pretty lazy and most likely do not prepare and just fluff their exams so I will have the advantage of preparation for upcoming assessments

someone pls give me reassurance🙏
check your current rank as it stands now, but regardless all you need to do is to lock in make sure you climb the ranks in your subsequent assessment tasks. remember this is only one assessment task out of the rest you have left until the end of trials, and even then your internals as a whole are only 50% and the other half is yet to be determined by your hsc. the fact you say your cohort is lazy means you'll be in a good position.

but on the other hand you really need to improve with your handwriting to make sure you can't lose more marks because of this. it was an issue for me as well (teachers actually threatened to send me to the handwriting clinic we had) but luckily you have the whole of this summer holidays to fix it. because at the end of the day you could have the best essay in the world with state-ranker worthy content but it means nothing if your markers can't read it

yeah lad no offence but i can't read the majority of this
you really need to fix your handwriting like this needs to be a top priority for you because most of it looks like scribble
yikes ok. Do u think 70% is crazy unverifiable? I was told my essay was very well in the A range after I read it out for her so like could this mean that the cohort isn't entirely that strong and therefore would be easy to rnak up?

70% is not the end of the world especially if this is average/above average across your cohort. A range means your essay was at least 80%+ so I'm thinking the main issue is definitely the handwriting

Reiterating what I said. You could have the best essay in the entire world but it means nothing if your markers can't read it. It might as well be as if you didn't hand in anything at all

how huge is a low b6 vs high b5 in the hsc? would It significantly boost my atar if I got b6? I would like to aim for low 99 since i'm in RAS.

Ok I'm sorry but I can only read the majority of this because I know the text well and had to write my own essay on it, but you do need to work on your handwriting. Honestly I think if your teachers put a bit of effort, they should be able to read it, but I guess it's because they were in a hurry. Still, you can't take any chances. I've seen worse exam handwriting so it's not over for you (personally I struggle to write fast and legibly too), it's mostly the longer words that are illegible, but you just need to write a lot and train your hand. Writing notes in class by hand could be helpful, and practising hand-writing your essays many times will allow you to improve your technique.

What's RAS
And yeah, it depends on the subject but between b5 and b6 can be quite a difference. With eng adv u generally want a 90+ if you don't want to risk it taking a toll on your ATAR

Often times there are a few differentiators that lock you out of a Band 6 because a high Band 5 already shows you have a strong understanding of the content and the question so then it's just a matter of how well you articulate the content and the smaller details like cohesion/flow, etc in your essay

My essay qn was: How does 'The Crucible' invite responders to reflect on the complexities of human behavior and the consequences of societal pressures?

but my handwritting was apparently illegible and therefore they only marked what they could read.
THATS CRAZY sounds like the teacher just doesnt want to put in the effort 😭

I obv adapted. I was told it was absolutely fine and 'well polish' although they couldn't read the handwritting so they deducted 6 marks which is beyond me but life still moves on so i might asw.
ngl if you just like wrote a lil bigger i think it woulda been good but cos the writings also kinda small its hard to decipher
