i thought that they just changed the Area of Study. The Board better release new standard packages for English based on 2009 responses. I'll lol if one of the Band 3/4 responses is somebody who used 2 related texts.
The syllabus changed in 2008, so none of those will be tailored to the 2009-2012 English syllabus. So no, they are of no use to you content wise at the moment. However you can look at the structure, and the fluency will assist you in writing a more sophisticated and eloquent essay.
