    drawing xylem & phloem

You can see a cross section BY cutting a transversal cut. A longitudinal cut is cut lengthways, hence LONGitudinal. A transverse cut is across. So, on a celery, it would be perpendicular to the stalk of the celery. :)

    enzyme pH, temp + concentration

The optimum temp. was between 35-40 degrees Celsius because rennin operates in the stomach, hence body temperature. The optimum pH was acidic, because the stomach has an acidic environment An increase in substrate concentration caused an increase in enzyme activity because it got closer to...

Should i get a job in year 12?

If you can cope, sure. As emamab said, just go casual and during your half-yearlies, trials, HSC, ask for a break. Plus, it makes you more independent as you are exposed to the "real world" and it can be your "break-time" away from studying.

    10 units vs 12 units???

+1 There are pros and cons of both. If you think that you can cope with 12 units, go for it! If it's becoming too much, don't be afraid to drop to 10. Is there any chance that you can drop to 11 units? Don't not drop to 10 units because of the mentality, "I'm gonna stuff up if I only have 10...

What are some good study guide textbooks for Chem/Bio?

I do prefer the Macquarie for Bio. I also like the Cambridge for Bio. It is a lot more concise than Macquarie, but that's what I liked about it. I guess Macquarie is easier to understand, but I guess to each their own.

    enzyme rennin - pH

For the pH part, we had 3 test tubes. One was the control, one had 3-4 drops of vinegar added to it, and one had 1/2 tsp of bicarb soda added to it.

    What's illuminati?

+1 what jaymay said. I'm not 100% sure, but according to 'Angels and Demons', they were scientists that were driven "underground" by the opposing nature of society... or something like that.

    School Cert easier than trial?

Yeah. My school cert was WAY easier than my trials. I think its because they trials are past papers, and the papers back then were quite hard.

    Awesome non-fiction books

Ross Gittens' "Gitten's Guide to Economics" is a good book if you're new to economics and you want to understand the basics. He writes in a very easy-to-understand way. Enjoy!

How to study for the School Certificate? (question) - Science

I understand you want to do well in your SC, so, for science, I just basically went over past papers and saw that they always have a certain type of question. Eg. about technology. See if you can see a pattern and study for those. I also wrote notes, but it depends on what type of learner you...
