I think the essential question is do you want to make writing your career? If your answer is yes then this is probably a good course. There are some people on here who do writing, so I will leave them to give you more feedback because I don't know a huge deal about content of the writing...

Your professor is correct in saying that UTS journalism is the bomb. Not many people drop out of UTS journalism... in fact, a lot of people from other UTS communications degrees are trying to transfer in to the journalism major after the first year. It is a very competitive course to get in...
