I know there are particular unis that offer bonus schemes (i.e. extra uai points) for doing certain subjects during the hsc. Eg. if u do advanced english, and get a band 5 or 6 during the hsc, u get an extra 5 UAI points! Other subjects include maths, d&t, textiles and design, science subjects...
