Maths in Focus despite it's flaws with its questions, is quite good when it comes to explaining concepts but in all honesty, a Fitz and Cambridge should be fine, providing you at least try applying what you learn to questions, you'll find learning that way to be fairly effective

depends on how confident you are in each topic, perhaps for those you're not, some light revision wouldn't hurt, but now is definitely the time you wanna be hitting the past papers

Ultimately it is up to the student, if the student is motivated and smart enough, they should be able to attain high marks/atar regardless of whether other students go to tutoring or not. I know plenty of people who go tutoring and still do not perform as well as they can and vice versa with...
