    LATE Round -> FINAL Round

    Yeah I did. But then I switched them around for Late Round.. My first preference now is Med Sci @ UNSW, my atar is way above the main round cut-off which was 95.10. So I'm just wondering if I should expect an offer or not.

    LATE Round -> FINAL Round

    Hey, Just a short question: Is it usual for people to receive late round offers? And furthermore, final round offers? I received an ATAR of 98.75, which is easily higher than any of my preferences.. which have about 93-95ish cut- offs. Should I be expecting to gain an offer or not?

    Does transfering to another course after one year guarantee you a spot in that course

    Re: Does transfering to another course after one year guarantee you a spot in that co No.. each course has a different requirement. E.g. Law at Usyd will look at both your GPA and ATAR 50/50 Medicine will require UMAT. So it depends on the course.. but most will require a credit average + GPA.

    ACCEPTING then cancelling?!

    Hey there, So late round offers are coming out in a matter of days. And it was everyone's advise to accept your offers, and then change them up to increase your "pool" of offers, right? So in saying that, I accepted one of my offers and went through all the enrolment procedures, e.g. setting...

    pedigree diagrams

    left-hand phenotype is represented by clear boxes/circles. This is clearly seen in Generation 2 [Units 5 and 6] If left handedness was shaded, then that would mean that all of the offspring in generation 3 would have to be shaded also. As, ll x ll = 4 ll's - because it's recessive as said in...

    Who's is genuinely SCARED about the HSC??

    haha. I want your future MX1 and MX2 marks :), those should be enough to push me up into the Mid 99's :O

    Who's is genuinely SCARED about the HSC??

    I will admit that I do have a good memory - but in saying that, the HSC is basically just a memory-game.. if you take out MX2. And memory can be developed through hard work and understanding the most effective ways to study. TBH, I have seen many people, from my school who put in hours of...

    Who's is genuinely SCARED about the HSC??

    HSC is nothing to be scared about.. at the end of the day, the amount of effort you put in now will be rewarded in the end, fear can only hinder your ability to succeed. Just prepare as best you can, and that will be enough.. IMO, anyone should be able to reach their ATAR goals if they...

    Is it easy to get into Medicine from a Med./Bio. Med. Science course?

    get practice papers to get an idea of its difficulty.. for some its easy, for other its hard. It was difficult for me - because it was so foreign and new.. its nothing like the HSC which just requires pure rote learning and memorisation - and thus is easy. I'm trying to transfer in.. taking a...

    Is it easy to get into Medicine from a Med./Bio. Med. Science course?

    yeah you can do the UMAT at any stage.. but in my opinion its best to do it now and continually do it for as long as your trying for medicine.. coz it's the best form of practice and its a good way of understanding how to deal with the pressures on the day. It is really difficult.. it is my...

    Is it easy to get into Medicine from a Med./Bio. Med. Science course?

    so to answer your questions.. it is definitely not easy to get into Medicine.. med is in my opinion the most competitive course to get into.. ATAR + UMAT + interview.. if you do med sci.. you will still need a high GPA - preferably distinction average, and will still need a competitive UMAT...

    Is it easy to get into Medicine from a Med./Bio. Med. Science course?

    only way into undergraduate med is via the UMAT, unless you can get an ATAR of 99.70+, the only exception to this is JCU - which requires a relatively high ATAR 98+ and an outstanding application and interview. So if you truly want Medicine do the UMAT.. even if you end up taking an alternative...
