Re: Write notes or type notes ? I typed most of my notes. For maths, I had graphing and sketching programs, so that made it easier to do diagrams. But everyone has their preferences, so you should just go with what works for you.

I went to some philosophy lecture at the UoW open day. From what I heard there, philosophy sounds like some great, thought-provoking, intellectual meddling ("so do a combined science/arts degree!" says my English teacher. Uh... no. Arts would probably kill me)

Yeah, 70-282 is a pretty significant drop. Usually we're in the top 150-100, and 2006 was one of the best year groups we've had (hence the 70 ranking). I don't know about our year group, though.

I don't know about the rest of the state, but my school's rank dropped from 70 to 282 in 2007... Teachers were saying that it was one of the worst year groups we've had, and that they're relying on us to bring the school back up.

For some reason, the examiners at my school won't let us keep the papers, and tell us that we'd have to come back another day to get them.

I could help if someone could post the paper... Edit: When I left, I was about to take the paper with me, but then the examiner was like, 'oh, you won't be able to keep that now. Come back later this week to get it' WTF.

I wanted to. I really wanted to. Also, I was going to get a copy of English Paper 2, but they seem to have gone missing in action. I'll have to ask my English teacher for a copy.

I also got 8 for that question. If I had a copy of the paper, I'd be posting my answers too, but the examiner wouldn't let me keep it (they told me to come get it later this week)

Re: General thoughts I did quite well... Until I get to question 10b, which was the equivalent of running straight into a brick wall, at full speed. I'm thinking around 100-110/120. Anything more though, would be the fluke of a lifetime.
