Is there any hope for us kids?

qft. Hard work isn't the only thing that counts, a bit of natural talent goes a long way - intelligent students are able to grasp everything a bit faster and understand it a little better.

Is there any hope for us kids?

Well, if you stop thinking about everyone else and concentrate on your own game, you might become one of them. What if you're semi smart? You still have a chance at kicking everyones ass anyway.. confidence man. Confidence.

    maths help

Re: ASAP help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 I'm pretty sure you do. Since multiplying anything with base 10 adds another digit to the number, multiplying 3 by 100 would work properly to get the amount of digits.

    maths help

    Re: ASAP help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 q2 2^10 = 1024 = approximately 10^3 2^1000 = (2^10)^100 = approximately (10^3)^100 = about 300 digits Since 2^10 = 1024, the 24 that was taken off in the bold part needs to be multiplied by 100 also, adding 2 more numbers on then end. 300 + 2 = 302

    Failing year 11?

Well, I'm not too sure about the repeat, but if you don't meet the "satisfactory requirements" they do have the power to stop you going to year 12. As for them actually exercising that power, I don't know.

    English Extension 2 kids?

My sister did that. MX1 & EX2 Other subjects: legal, economics, engineering Needless to say, she also had 13 units. She procrastinated like crazy, but I suppose she did do pretty well. A 43/50 for EX2 If you want to do, just do it. You can always drop it later.

Are you honest if you are given marks you dont deserve

Didn't tell the teacher. The 2 extra marks turned my 8% margin into a 10% one in maths. Generally wouldn't tell. It's those little marks that make all the difference.

10 billionth time :( does your school count towards your UAI

Right, my apologies. Crap, and I still managed to explain it wrong. Either way, it affects your internal in an incredibly twisted way

how do you study for the sc?

... that's why it's the most versatile technique and can easily be applied to everything. You'll most likely (95%) get a story to anlyse. That's where prose comes in. Unless you really want me to teach you caesuras, litotes, auxesis and all that stuff, which you don't (and I won't either). So...

10 billionth time :( does your school count towards your UAI

I'm near certain you'll ask for clarification. Your internal mark = mark of x rank of grade (in this case 5th) So here goes: As external mark for maths - 5th, 95% A's internal mark in grade for math - score of the 5th ranked mark. we'll just say it's 80% (since supposedly dumber cohort...

10 billionth time :( does your school count towards your UAI

The UAI will be determined by the marks of As and Bs cohort. Depending on the people in the grade, B will on the balance of probability, have a higher chance of getting a higher UAI. This is because his INTERNAL will be the 5th ranked mark of the external of his school (and since his cohort...
