    MY Future Needs Help!

Don't think about a career aim now. Rather, you should just follow your interests. From what you have there, law is looking like a good option. Here's what I told a friend to do: You're only in year 11. Just work hard, and enjoy yourself.

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

I just felt like antagonising the troll. It was mostly for the lulz.

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

I suck at detecting sarcasm. Even when I'm not on the interwebs.

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

It depends on your rank, the performance of your year group, and your own HSC marks. You can get 90+ with any combination of subjects, as long as you do well in both your assesment and exam marks.

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

There's an inconsistency here... Earlier on, the OP's profile claimed that they go to JRAHS... Now it claims that they go some school called Black Stump High, which is not on this list... Troll detected. /thread.

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

I'm just as astounded as you are... What kind of person uses such floral speech in everyday life? Couldn't they just say it normally?

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

You think that because you're sitting way up on a high horse that you can't seem to get off. BOS is not just for school and university discussion, and people do have lives outside of that, believe it or not. In your mind, yes. But not everyone thinks that, you know. What if those subjects were...

So my teachers aren't allowed to give me my ranks then...? Because they just did that today...

"a higher uai suggests greater chance of succeeding at uni."

Yeah, I'll probably be a lot more motivated to do work in uni than high school, since I'll be doing subjects that I'm actually interested in. I spend more time on maths, chem and physics, not just because they take up more time, but also because I actually find them interesting (unlike my...

"a higher uai suggests greater chance of succeeding at uni."

http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=182098 What do you guys think of this? A lot of my teachers seem to think its true... I remember my English tutor saying something about the UAI becoming more and more irrelevant, and if I'm going to do Medical Science, they should just get...

    Year 12 Regrets

Same here... So many people that I hardly talk to. Also, I regret not doing Music. I should have done that instead of Legal Studies. And I kind of wish that I had done better in the trials. But there is one thing I don't regret: Not doing IPT.

    Chem+Phys Practical Exams?

I've done prac tests for both chemistry and physics. They're mostly skills based, but if you screw something up, it gives you something to talk about in the discussion section of your report. Just make sure you know the theory behind the prac, and any calculations involved.

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

Yeah, I forgot, there's more to it... She was living in a public housing flat with her boyfriend, but then got evicted for not paying the rent. They got back into their flat by breaking in, and are now in trouble with the police. For a while, they crashed at my teacher's house. Edit: Well what...

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

Yes indeed, you are correct. Reminds me of some person my legal studies teacher told me about. He said that even though she got a 90+ UAI, she dropped out of uni in the first year and is now a drug addict. Oh... So tragic...

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

I'm doing fine in Mathematics, but I know for sure that I would fail General Maths if I had taken it up... Besides, there are no such thing as 'soft' subjects. Each subject is difficult in its own way, whether you see it or not. I think the only reason they are seen as 'soft' is that they...

    Motivational comments

I'm going to take some time off BOS too, so I can study for the HSC exams. Hey, these are only your prelims. They're nowhere near as bad as the HSC!
