    Benefits of Maths Extension 1

Nerdy as this may sound: it's enjoyable. 3 unit is challenging, but not in the it's-impossible-to-do-this way, just the harder type questions that make you feel really good when doing them. No offence, but the 2 unit maths course, is not challenging enough. It's a very black and white type...

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

+1 I may have brains (don't kill me for the "arrogance"), but no direction. Whereas some of lesser "ability" know what they want - and I admire that in them. Heck, my friends do Society & Culture, Hospitality and Business Studies (2 do all, and 2 do only business) - and they're pretty smart...

    Changing Perspective English help

Best I can put it is gaze. Then come up with something like: the protagonist's minimal amount of eye contact symbolises their fear of intimacy blah blah blah... however this slowly changes throughout the course of the film, shown by the (insert technique, example, effect)

    Creative Writing

Lol, I may not be the best person to talk about "creative" or creepy ideas, but I'll give my 2c anyway: A villainous main character that appears only in dreams, and controls and messes up the minds of its victims? And maybe whenever the full moon/solar eclipse/retrograde mars (I'm thinking I...

Beijing vs Athens vs Sydney opening ceremony

Could not agree more! Bloody Beijing was freaking showing off throughout the whole ceremony. At first, the synchronicity of everything was kinda cool, and the whole lights thing was too. Then everything got boring, the same crap over and over again. Synchronised this, synchronised that. No...

    Macbeth Essay help

Hmmm... I'd suggest you do some drawing, or maybe a comic strip? (risky choice, but if done well, gets excellent marks) and a really heavy red theme, (link to lady macbeth's sleepwalking.. trying to wash off the blood on her hands) and also because red can be taken so many ways. Maybe the red...

    Box and Wisker

iii) Then, since you have AC, you can use the sine rule. sin 96/524 = sin BCA/400 400 sin 96/524 = sin BCA BCA = 49 degrees, 24 min (nearest min)

Umm... when you put it that way, where the hell do you want us to start? Specifics? Do you have an idea already or do you need some clarifying on characters?

    Different types of employment contracts

I'm pretty sure that's about it. AWAs still exist because some people signed them already before Rudd decided to ban them. So in effect, the AWAs are phased out only when all contractual obligations have ended (in said AWAs).

    Box and Wisker

    ii) You can use the cosine rule here. AC² = AB² + BC² - 2(AB)(BC)CosB AC² = 300² + 400² - 2(300)(400)Cos 96 AC² = 275086.8312 AC = 524m (nearest m) iii) Then, since you have AC, you can use the sine rule. sin 96/524 = sin BCA/400 400 sin 96/524 = sin BCA BCA = 49 degrees, 24 min...

    Box and Wisker

No, it doesn't, because you have to find the small angle that A makes with C, then add that to the 18. Do you want me to find A? Hmm.. maybe it's better I look at the question again.

    UAI estimate - pretty please?

Hmm, tricky, tricky. I'd say there's a pretty big chance a 65-70% in ext 1 maths will scale you down though. To scale up, I think you should be looking at getting a say.. 88%.

    UAI Estimate

Hmm.. by the looks of it, I'd say about mid 80s to low 90s

Are you concieted if you think you are good looking/smart etc. ?

Most just can't take the bluntless of the more conceited people. That's why nearly all smart/good looking people have to cushion the egos of others, or they cushion it themselves by calling you an arrogant ... Otherwise, if you've got it, flaunt it

Need Help In Studying / School

Get off the goddamned computer. Write that on a post it and stick on a speaker or something. You can't study through a computer. You make notes with it & do it yourself. No, don't go asking for that smart Asian's or smart person's notes. Make your own. You're going to have to get yourself...

    Why do so few try?

Because the majority of us, never wanted to do it. I certainly didn't choose it. And tbh, most can't respect a subject and teacher they never wanted, or asked for. Despite this, I'm one of the few in my class who tries anyway.
