It will be exactly like Vista all over again where people on pcs/laptops won't update to it and will want to downgrade to Windows 7 if they buy a new computer with Windows 8 installed. Who knows, it may succeed on tablets though.

Download the trial first to see if you like it. Microsoft has made Windows 8 to be the same version on both tablets and pc's. When using a pc I don't want to have to navigate it like I would on an Ipad (or Microsofts new equivalent). If you had a touch screen computer it wouldn't be so bad...
