    It is not a band aid solution, it IS the solution. Letting them remain in their remote communities and throwing billions of dollars at them in these remote places is the band aid solution that doesn't work.

    UNSW, USYD & UTS are all good for engineering. At the end of the day you could go to any of them and get a good education.

    In all fairness though, the woman in the article is not what most people would recognise as Aboriginal. If you seen her in the street you would say she is Caucasian.

    This. Looking at the bridal shop and street in Google streetview it looks like a street you would assume is safe to walk down even at 2am in the morning.

    The police said it was a spontaneous opportunistic attack though? The accused lives only 2 kms from the bridal store where they met so it is always possible she willingly went home with home (using an adjacent street and which was not covered on cctv).

    That is terrible. The article says they are unknown to each other and that the man has no serious criminal history. If this man did kill her, then why did none of the security cameras capture her being abducted? And if it was an opportunistic attack, murder is a seriously big step up crime for...
