I think perhaps we should treat those acting immaturely like children and ignore them, then they may stop rather than trying to argue with them which only makes things worse :)

Sorry I did not make myself clear on that one, I really meant to say your performance in university may not make you a great doctor in the real world
  14. melsc

no.. please this cant be happening..

Oh yes, performance in uni means everything  I have met a few Orthopaedic Surgeons and welll accomplished ones at that and despite not being the most talkative people who have ever met they were far from arrogant

High UAI's don't make good doctors  I am embarrased for you
  17. melsc

Does your school give UAI predictions?

Mine didn't, only for those who did the UMAT and needed one. I guess with 200 girls they don't have time. Besides its difficult to predict based on school-based assessment as different schools mark differently. My assessment marks gave me 85-88 and I ended up with 94. My schoool must have marked...

There are also other unis, TAFE (and i'm sure you get credit for some of the units you do in tafe) mature age entry (esp if...

    UTS v UWS

Its strange because you can't combine it with an LLB at UNSW because its not part of the LLB/Soc Sci degree.
  20. melsc

    UTS v UWS

Is the Criminology degree at UNSW more specialised? I remember looking it up and instead it being a major in the Soc Sci Degree its its own degree?
