You're best off asking industry professionals instead of students I think. The short answer is no.

Just wondering, how do current students get info on things like which companies are hiring traders, how much money those companies pay, what the application process involves and similar questions? What are the best sources for this sort of information on the web at the moment?

Become a derivatives trader. Worked for me.
