Katich will never wear the baggy green while Clarke is captain

The axing of Katich was definitely a disgrace on the part of the selection panel, and I guess Katich just needs to blow off some steam. I mean he was never being recalled so what he says now is basically irrelevant. I have to ask, though, why all the hate for Clarke? He's a very professional...

Ancient History units living up to it's namesake?

Paul Roche is amazing in every conceivable way, and you should take every course that he teaches and every one that he so much as guest lectures in. Just sayin'.

    Italian or French?

I don't have that much experience with the French department at USyd, but I can definitely tell you that the Italian department really is brilliant. I have a friend who is doing Honours in French this year, I may ask her what she has to say about the department and post back here for you.

UN report lied, Israel cleared of intentionally killing civilians

I don't involve myself in the idea of a Jewish conspiracy whatsoever, but this is not exactly true. While obviously Israel has existed for some time, one can still be opposed to the idea of taking the land of people that have inhabited such a land for a long, long time and hold legitimate claims...

    Summer school in Greece?

They run one to Greece every 3rd year and one to Rome on the other two years in any given three years. I went on the one to Rome and it was excellent and I talked to a lot of guys that went to the Greece one and they said it was awesome and amazing as well.

    Honours '11

So just randomly for a bump, I've got a School of Language and Cultures meeting/workshop on Friday the 25th for Honours. Anyone else have a similar one?

    Honours '11

Would you be doing honours in Economics, then? Awesome. Which year are you in?

    Honours '11

Ah, non importa niente se ti ha bocciato a qualcosa. =] Hai bisogno di una media di piu' di 65 e basta, io penso. Avevo lo stesso problema con il latino, ma potevo andare comunque. I have no idea. I swear I saw her around in the office once or twice last semester (or the one before that). I...

    Honours '11

Eh, bene.

    Honours '11

I've had Meg, Laura and Cristina. They're all pretty cool. Antonella is the new Italian Government Lettore, right? Nina is pretty cool if you're on her good side, so hope you're on her good side. :) Exchange in Bologna would be pretty awesome; in quel caso suppongo che tu parli bene l'italiano...

    Honours '11

Oh cool. That sounds pretty interesting though. =) Alastair is a pretty awesome guy. I've had him for a couple of courses. What are you moving into after honours?

    Honours '11

I took one of her units on Italian Sociolinguistics. Pretty basic but still decently interesting. She's very lovely to me and she's the head of department so those two things make things very smooth for me. :) Who do you have as your tutor then? No I didn't go on exchange. :( I wanted to. I was...

    Honours '11

Ah yes! My bad. I'm sorry! I keep forgetting; I only visit once in a blue moon nowadays. Sociolinguistics is interesting, and the Italian department has Nina (I assume you know her?) who is a pretty well-known expert on sociolinguistics and what-not.

    Honours '11

Oh that's awesome. I had to choose between Ancient History and Italian for Honours. Who'd you have as your supervisor? What area did you write on? I wanted to do mine with Paul Roche if I chose ANHS but he's going to be away on research leave. Quindi studi l'italiano? I'm going to write...

Anyone else starting Honours this year? Plans? Expectation? Subject area? I'm doing mine in Italian Studies this year.

    USYD gym

It's not that bad, especially the aquatic one over near the co-op. For ~9 a week (a lot cheaper than what I used to pay) I get unlimited access to that one, the Arena complex and the pools. It's a bit of a bitch because I don't live that close to uni but during the semester it's really, really...

    religious intolerance

No. This is an incredibly poor logical justification swallowed and used only by fucktards.

I'll vote for them: Secular party of Australia

Do not be fooled, in the rest of the world, issues regarding the integrity of a nation's education system, a just tax system that does not discriminate, eliminating discrimination against gays in terms of marriage and adoption and other such ideals are actually important things, though they are...

    Does God exist?

All this demonstrates is extreme credulity on your part. That being said, in order for God to not appear capricious and malevolent, in your picture, the suffering and slaughter of hundreds of thousands of human beings on a yearly basis at the hands of natural disasters that God deigns must take...
