    Health Sciences/Immunisations

Definetly, and that's why we have jobs! 'Cause ppl are so afraid of it! Nah, Radiography is really worth every cent we have to pay... it has a strong medical-background, so it's excellent preparation for Med (if anyone's interested)... I mean, just today, I did a prac where I looked at human...

No, no concerns. It's up to the individual... you really have to make sure that your radiation dose is minimal. But, we have PRMs (Personal Radiation Monitors) which monitor how much radiation we get, when it gets analysed and they see that we're getting too much, there will be an investigation...

    timetable?textbooks?

My advice ==> NEVER buy every single textbook that's recommended. Don't buy them new either. Wait until mid-semester, you can get real bargains 'cause ex-students always advertise on the walls. Also, the second-hand bookshop is a good place to hunt for your books. The stupidest thing to do is to...

    HECS - Upfront or defer

I deferred it 'cause I'm poor... lol... and 'cause I can't save money... I am a compulsive spender... And I don't want my parents to have anything to do with my uni fees, 'cause they went through HELL with my private education fees and tutorial classes. I really don't care, 'cause I know...

    Health Sciences/Immunisations

Oh, do Radiography! I'm a 2nd year in that course and it's fun fun fun! OMG! It's pretty high-tech stuff 'cause we upgraded our system in Cumbo- out with the old "dark room" setting and in with the new computerised system! No more film... which is a pity 'cause I still have my very first pic...

    Health Sciences/Immunisations

Yeah, at my clinicals place, they didn't (Fairfield Hospital), and they didn't even notice my First Aid Certificate! But that was a good thing, I didn't remember anything from the class! lol

is your course or UWS worth it?

Ahh... a career in anything IT-realted is risky... so many ppl I know are either um-employed or doing another degree. But who knows, if you excel in this, then maybe you'll be offered a superb job when you graduate! I'm not a UWS student, but I'm going around all the other uni forums to let...

So who got in? And what Course?

Oh, how I wished I studied harder... damn tutor told me I should've gotten at least 97.00... Grrrr! Oh well... it didn't matter 'cause my UAI was more than enough to get me into my first pereference... And then I hear ppl complain to me, "Why did you waste your UAI points on THAT? You...

    Rehab Counselling / Cumberland Uni

Oh, don't worry! I'm in 2nd year Diagnostic Radiography, but I can tell you, in general, the Uni experience is not that bad. Sure, there is some catching up to do (as you won't be spoon-fed anymore) and you have to really put in the hard work. Ppl tend to suffer in 1st year, but as they become...
