    I put B, but technically I can't see that any of the answers are correct. C and D are obviously wrong so that leaves A and B. With A, b isn't a paramater passed to M2, its a value returned to M1.     According to my Excell hsc book: " Flocculation is the addition of electrolytes... blah blah blah... Calcium hydroxide is added to adjust the pH of the water. Settling: blah blah blah" I'm pretty sure that adjusting the pH before settling helps the colloidal particles to clump together better...

    Nah bromine is non-polar. For one thing the two bromine atoms in Br2 have the exact same electronegativity as each other and therefore it can't be polar (feel free to correct me if i'm wrong)

    Hey, In the conics topic, if part of a question requires use of e.g. a tangent or a normal, are we required to derive the formula from scratch or can we just quote the standard form (e.g. x.x1/a^2 + y.y1/b^2 = 1 for the tangent to an ellipse) and go from there? I have been under the impression...
