Are there any music courses that dont require previous music knowledge from HSC?

Hi i didnt study music for HSC. i DID play piano for about 3 years, but its mainly reading the chords, hence im not really strong with musical terms and note reading and stuff. I would like to do music as my arts major at unsw, and i was just wondering if there were any music electives that...

Are there ANY music courses at ANY uni which dont require assumed music knowledge?

I want to study music, especially in composition, but it seems that all the music courses at virtually ANY uni ( usyd, unsw etc) requires some prerequisites or some assumed music knowledge from before (ie. HSC Music, AMEB 7th grade..) So i was just wondering, are there any courses from any uni...

Just another question on WAM; does WAM develop from start till graduation :S?

I've been informed that you get/or can check your WAM at the end of each semester. Now im wondering, do i get different WAMs each semester, each year? Or the WAM i get at the end of my semester 1, does this WAM develop with my results from semester 2, nxt year sem1 , nxt year sem2 and so on...

when can you check your WAM?

I said 75 above because i recieved an offer, which allows me to transfer to combined law in 2nd year if i get above 75. Im not too sure about your case, althought i assume it would be less competitive since Science isnt a MAJORLY popular degree compared to stuff lyk law or medicine. So maybe...

when can you check your WAM?

For the transfer in the second year, i was informed that i need WAM of at least 75. So when are your WAM released? (ie. at the end of every year, end of each semester etc etc) And can they be checked up at Webct or myUNSW? :):)

What does 'Excluded' mean for each course?

Do you mean i can't do it simultaneously, or if i complete one, i'm not allowed to do the other?

What does 'Excluded' mean for each course?

I see that MATH1011 is 'excluded' by MATH1131, and vice versa. What does that mean? Can i take MATH1131 in semster1 and Math1011 in sem2 even though they 'exclude' one another? cheers:headbang:

Changing from MATH1131 to MATH1011 in sem 2, possible =O?

Hi, i was just wondering if it was possible to change from Math1131 to math1011 in semester 2. If so, would i be starting Math1011 from the half-way as oppose to other people who had studied math1011 since the start of the year? thanks

does the timetable change for semester 2? If so, can we change courses in sem2?

i was just wondering if the timetable changes for semester 2, and if so, whether or not i can drop a course and add another course instead for the semester 2. In the case of changing courses like this half-way through the year, how is your WAM detremined? cheers:headbang:

Do a lot of people drop out from their tutorials and courses in the first few weeks?

I wanted to take MATH1031 badly but i couldn't, because my only avaliable tutorial times were all full :( So i was just wondering if it is actually worthwhile for me to wait and keep an eye out for any dropping ppl. thanks
  13. D

i just changed my tutorial time, and my timtable gained a blank box:(

its rather like i have a missing box on the table itself, but i have the new tutorial times and stuff on the actual 'list' such as the one you have shown there. so i dont know what's happened :(

i just changed my tutorial time, and my timtable gained a blank box:(

i moved my tutorial from 11-12 to 2-3, and when i checked my class timetable, the blue box that says [tutorial 11-12] dissappeared as it is meant to since i changed, but i dont have ant of those blue tutorial boxes for the new 2-3. Is it because i JUST changed it lyk few minutes ago and it needs...

Changing one of the courses into something else.. (ie from Math1131 to Math1031)

I'm considering to change from Math1131 to Math1031 asap. What are the so-called 'processes' of making such changes, and how long does the changing process usually take? Is it as simple as changing one of your subjects the way you did in highschool? thanks ps. math1131 isnt a compulsory course...

Its my first week, and i have my first math tutorial BEFORE math lecture??

On my timetable, on wednesday i have MATH1131 Tutorial in the morning and MATH1131 lecture in the afternoon. And this is my first week of uni. Shouldn't i attend the lecture FIRST, then attend tutorial? Does this mean i dont have to go to tutorial in the first week? thanks
