    maths argh.......

True. Also the maximum you can get in General Maths is 90(scaled from 100). So general maths isn't so worth doing.
  2. clue444

    Failing year 11.

I think you feel discouraged when you are doing bad in a subject, making you dislike the subject and getting bad marks everytime. You just have to work harder and have more motivation by setting long and short term goals (for example 95+ ATAR or that uni course you're dreaming about doing.)...

    et the Extra-Terrestrial
  4. clue444

    Failing year 11.

It could help if you find a private tutor.
  5. clue444

    maths argh.......

If you think your worst subject is maths and you're struggling in it then drop it. There is no point doing it if you think it won't count into your 10 units.

Sharegames - who's playing this year?

    Yeah I'm doing it too.
  7. clue444

Most boring physics topic for year 11

The World Communicates - nothing much new from year 9-10, mostly calculations and drawing graphs, yuck.
  8. clue444

Most boring physics topic for year 11

I say "The World Communicates" is a bit boring. It didn't have anything new from year 9 and 10 except for refractive index and some other minor stuff.
  9. clue444

    Subject selections: Which one? STUCK!

Chemistry and Legal, but IMO I think physics is slightly easier to get a band 6 than chemistry.
  10. clue444

Scaling Difference of Chem and Bio

Generally, chem scales better than bio.
  11. clue444

My life is plumetting and I'm letting it.

You need some motivation, so set goals for short term and long term. If not, see you're school counsellor, you might be going through depression.
  12. clue444

NO MATH -(Yr 11-12) so ECONOMICS instead?

PIFKIE the subjects you're choosing are a great selection and potentially able to give you a high ATAR if you're willing to work hard.

  17. clue444

will my ranks ensure me an Atar of 74.35??

Your ranks look pretty good for an ATAR of 74.35, just the ranking of your school is needed to provide more detail.
  18. clue444

To drop or not to drop...

Either way, if you're worst mark is mathematics, it won't count into your 10 units. If you think you're not good in Mathematics then I'd say drop it and focus on your other subjects, because there will be no point doing it for the extra 2 units.
  19. clue444

    do i need chem???

It isn't a must, but it's recommended that you do it so that you find it much easier to understand your course. Also, there a bridging courses which you can do in uni later on to catch up with chemistry if you haven't done it in year 12.
