Watched numerous people wander up to reading room 2, rattle the doors for five minutes, then walk away looking rather confused.

    ITT: FML I hate uni.

I always manage to sit next to someone who has a cold and no tissues -_- So they spend two hours sitting there snorting and wiping their nose with their hands but then look all offended when you offer them a tissue! :evilfire:

I think his name is Paul Hodge? Or Peter... something with a "p" Does anyone else think the mozzies have developed a resistance to aeroguard? I was coated in it yesterday yet I counted about 50 separate bites that I got yesterday.

This has happened to me on several occasions. I make my friends use them now, just in case it breaks again hahaha. The lecturer for geog1030 is such a little hippy. His mutton chops come about 10cm off the side of his face, and the other day he had them plaited. [at least I think they were..]...

    First Day of Uni...

I've been trying, but all the randoms seem to already be waiting for friends to join them or they simply don't wish to know me. I think I'm approaching the wrong people. I just want someone to eat lunch with :(

Really? Wow. Looks like I'm going to be spending a lot of time in the library.

    Parking

I understand that the University sells a lot more parking passes than they have parking spaces, so I'm wondering if there are any other places where people park that may not be on the campus? Can you park on the roads of Jesmond or is it too busy during the day? Also, how much time should I...

    University of Newcastle

In terms of the construction fields a degree from Newcastle is quite good. I can't really offer any opinions in terms of how it stacks up to UTS, sorry. You always have the option of transferring later on if you don't like it.

Girl forced to change school beacouse of hair color!

St Paul's suspended her because they are afraid of how the public will judge the school based on her hair colour. Not a very good argument considering that the school is within walking distance of a massive public housing community with one of the highest rates of crime in the Hunter. I don't...

    The Accepted to UNCLE Thread

I saw in the paper this morning that there are still places in construction management, so it's very likely you'll get an offer.

Social science :) [Admittedly, not much of a feat considering the cut-off was 60.05, but I'm still very happy] Ha. This made my day ^

Whats the hope for people to get around ATAR 30? There should be some way for them.

Re: Whats the hope for people to get around ATAR 30? There should be some way for the I think if they're deadset on going to university, then a foundation programme like Newstep would be the best option for them. [I know Newcastle University offers it, my sister did open foundation a couple...

Who feels really bad about their Atar?

Who is to say that just because you got an ATAR under 70 it means that you have no work ethic? I know plenty of people who worked their hands to the bone in preparation and study for the HSC and only achieved something in the 60's. This is due to many other factors happening in their lives, not...

Are we more than what our atar says we are?

You actually need like 87 or something like that to do engineering at newy. It's not that dodge.

    course?

What are the different bonus point schemes they offer? Cause my boyf got <50 and I need to find some loopholes to cheer him up somehow.

Career advice please after low ATAR

I'm pretty sure my sister did an accelerated bridging course a couple years ago, but I can't be positive. I do know that many universities are having open days for school leavers, so my suggestion is to look up and see if any of the uni's of your choices are having them. They would be the best...
