Completely agree david spade, this 2011 know it all is a cockheaded douche who knows very little about engineering. Engineering is in demand everywhere in the world and is a highly prestigious course without a doubt.
Hey, I'm just wondering whether Usyd and UNSW offer bonus rank points for successful completion of specialist maths (maths C in QLD)? Cos I know that UQ and UAdel do, but couldn't find whether Usyd or UNSW did. If you know please post replies.
Sad that you became aware of the magnitude of your problems after you failed everything. Drop out of uni and become a labourer or something, you deserve it:haha:
Straight maths and science like me then for you at school. what course you looking forward to doing at uni? health, engineering? Btw how was your QCS test, did you find the WT really easy?
I wish, OP 4 at best but more realistically maybe a 5 or 6. I'd be happy with a 5 as it is more than enough to get me into UQ engineering...the cutoff is only 8 and as I do Maths C I also get 2 bonus rank points. How about you...going for an OP 1 ?
Well, as you say the VCE and HSC exams are more stressful but there is definitely more pride and more of a sense of achievement when you get it compared to the QCE. Again as you say, the OP system needs the QCS to be effective so I guess queensland students have to accept it.
I have to agree there, having done the QCS test last month myself I have to say the HSC and VCE systems are much better. The QCS test was a pointless waste of time and the QCE is a bit hollow to say the least.
Yeah I have the UQ engineering booklet. By the way, is the first year generic for all streams?? that is where everyone has to do the same basics before choosing a major?
I am looking to do Biomedical engineering at either UQ or QUT. I do Biology, physics, chemistry, maths and maths extension in Qld. I was just wondering what were the main streams of study in biomedical engineering. Is it more biology + physics or is there chemistry involved too? If any current...
