    General Thoughts: History Ext

Hey i did both Gibbon and Ranke for the first part!! I started off my argument with some nonsense interpretation of what Foner was saying, but developed a thesis as i went on, so i guess it was ok - wrote 9 pages The second question sucked according to me, didnt lend itself to an analysis of...

It was a pretty alright exam all up haha! I wrote 13 pages for my essay, but my conclusion was fairly rushed. I talked about how composers transform textual values and challenge the conventional 'acts of reading' that responders undertake. I also talked about how experiences and ideas are...

Extension English: Chances the question asks for 3 prescribed texts?

Oh oops, my bad! Umm im not too sure actually, i know Baulko, HGHS, Sydney Girls and Parra Marist run classes with it. And you guys (: But i think maybe with small classes in a bunch of other schools that i dont know about there'd be more that 100 =S nevertheless, it isnt a popular elective at...

Extension English: Chances the question asks for 3 prescribed texts?

Haha, so you guys do Night Letter, Orlando and Calvino im assuming? =P what school do you go to? we have the smallest class of around 12people doing it at Baulko. mann i never really liked If on a Winters Night a Traveller, so i didnt learn it well/at all, so dw im in the same boat as you if...

Extension English: Chances the question asks for 3 prescribed texts?

Yea doing 3 prescribed is normal, but they've NEVER asked for you to write about 3 in the HSC haha Does your school learn related texts as well?

Extension English: Chances the question asks for 3 prescribed texts?

woah! You guys do Night Letter!? thats pretty cool, out of the minimal people across the state that do TD, i was convinced that we were the only class to do Night Letters ahaha! What other texts does your school do? And i really doubt they'd ask for THREE prescribed texts...they want you to...

    Section IV - Historical Periods

Oh cool, i mixed it up a bit, and talked not only about the settlements, but also about his reforms post the establishment of the principate. But yea, unfortunately ran out of time, which could have been used to prepare a much nicer answer haha! I also regretted not being able to talk about...

    General Thoughts - Ancient History

D= I don't think they'll scale it down! I didnt think the test was THAT easy, i hope the aligning stays similar to last year =S

    Section IV - Historical Periods

Although the first question, mr. jennings, required a much higher thought process than the second one so i really really do hope its easier to access the higher marks! (:

    Section IV - Historical Periods

Why did you talk about senate and opposition in a question about the 'empire'? I though that that was directly referring to Section 3 of the syllabus only =S not sure.. In our center is was a kind of a half-half split between part a and b, but yea i agree the second question was actually a piece...

I did the Augustan age, did the first question...was alright i guess but i ran out of time unfortunately! )=

    Section III - Personalities

But there was really no scope for the 10mark Julio-Claudian question! I swear that question was realistically worth no more than 5 marks, struggled to write more than a page and half on her background =/ And the 15 marker, well it was fine for Ag, but i felt like i was repeating myself from...

    General Thoughts: Mathematics

If you rearrange the first part you find that the dV/dT of the first tap is dV/dT of the second tap, + t. So the find the difference in the volumes by integrating them, which is t, so you need to integrate t for 0-4, & The answer is 8L

Haha yea Ag is pretty interesting eh? Unfortunately there isnt any trick =/ just learn it all, because they can actually ask you anything...even looking at past paper trends, its been fairly sporadic...just learn it all i guess (: Hows the ancient prep going otherwise?

Can someone give an impression of my Creative piece?

Ok, people have been fairly harsh with this...but really its not horrible. Around an 11? I think it's important to understand that markers will be looking at this as a first draft written in exam conditions, and thus are not looking at stellar responses for a double digit score. My teacher...
