Does anyone think they messed up choosing subjects?

I wish I could of fit in Biology instead of Drama, which I dropped after Year 11. I wish I did Advanced English, I don't care how well I did in it or not, I just would of liked to have given it a go and if I was moved down then I was moved down, whatever. Really glad I did Society & Culture...

    Notes - Handwritten or Typed

Handwritten. I remember it easier and i find hand writing easier to memorise and read. It makes it more interesting to an extent. However with assignments, particularly if the area of study and or the topic you did is relevant to an upcoming exam, which was the case for me, typed is much easier...

    Year 11 vs Year 12

Year 12. Year 11 looking back felt like such a stale year.Even though i did relatively well in everything.I'm enjoying Year 12 so far, and the fact i've already got 6 assessments due over the course of the term isn't really to my surprise stressing me because i'm starting them earlier!

    "Study" Periods.

I have 12 a fortnight. At least one every day for 4 days of the week. I do use the time mostly. Reading for english, occasionally maths work, although i hate to waste time on maths if im stuck on questions. Or i use it for reading and summarising my other subjects.

    for those doing 10 units...

I agree with the user who said it is just a whole another set of assessments on top of what you already have if you have a subject you are contemplating dropping. I do ten, i dropped one of my best exam performing subjects in lieu of keeping Maths. And now im using that time i'd be doing that...

    Competition at your school

Theres a lot of competition in my year. I don't mind it but i think people could at least have the common courtesy to be friendly!

    10 or 12 units???

I'm doing 10 units for my HSC. Dropped one of my 2 Unit courses at the beginning of this term. I am not going well with Maths-i get around low 50's for my exams, but i kept it and dropped one of my stronger subjects, basically because i didn't need this course and didnt want the added pressure...

    How To Study

This is my regime: Monday to Thursday After School: 1) Read over notes from each subject 2) Summarise each days notes in a summary exercise book i have for all my theory subjects. I exclude English from this, and for Maths i have an exercise book which i summarise and write out theories...

If we bludged in Prelim: Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Society and Culture

Society & Culture i wouldnt necessarily have bludged through Year 11. I've just started the HSC Course for S&C and we are already working on developing the basis for our PIP and where we are going with it. You do review a lot of the Prelim content, methodologies etc. As for the rest of your...
