state ranks - economics and business

I'm fairly sure a 97 in economics will get you a state rank, not sure about business though. Best of luck! I only got 94 in eco =p.

Rate my Introduction + essay plan

While that may be the case, keep in mind that you are directly competing with everyone taking their HSC. That's what the exam is about. That how you get your ATAR.

    bracket creep

I learned it in year eleven, but I think it might be in the Equality section of economic issues.

    environmental management

Argue about the oppourtunity cost of the preservation of the environment. High govt regulation can slow industry, while a govt tax (like the ETS) could potentially contract the economy etc.

Any good visual related texts for Ted Hughes?

In terms of relationships? Probably not, I havent even looked at in in that way. It's really good to complement Birthday Letters uses of conflicting perspectives to maniuplate audiencve opinion about an issue, especially if you're doing whiteness I remember or Sam.

Any good visual related texts for Ted Hughes?

What I (and alot of other BOS'ers) did as a supp. for our Mod. C was Jason Rietman's "Thank you for smoking". It's a very good meta-text, exploring the nature of conflicting perspectives. Also, try documentaries, they must have them by design.

colours of iron (II) nitrate, iron (III) nitrate and copper nitrate

You can also use potassium permangenate (K4MnO4) to distinguish betw Iron (II) and Iron (III), as Iron (II) will change it from purple to clear. Oh, and I'm not sure if it will work, but you could try increasing the alkalinity of the solutions with ammonia to try and 'cheat' some [OH] out of...

This sheeyat is really pissing me off! Plz HELP

Your intro is pretty good IMO, you have a clear thesis, relating to question etc. I think you need to elaborate more on your texts, rather than just naming them and then spouting english thesis-ey statements. For instance, Julius caesar reflects Shakepeare's [insert content] while Rietman's...

    bracket creep

Bracket Creep is a taxation flaw where, due to inflation and other factors, the average income of a citizen increases, while the the brackets for income tax remain contstant. This means that there are more people (proportionately) in the higher tax brackets than were years ago, causing them to...

This sheeyat is really pissing me off! Plz HELP

While I can understand your argument, I must agree with Aerath, that this thread has progressed from a simple 'how do i structure this essay' to a series of requests for information you could probably acquire on your own. For instance, the animal imagery issue. As Ish has said, I'm fairly sure...

This sheeyat is really pissing me off! Plz HELP

What I think Ish is saying is that BOS, and more importantly, the users on BOS, are not a last minute supplement to actual study. Rather than blatantly asking for ideas, come forward with a few of your own, and they can be discussed, analysed and improved, and the friendly BOS community could...

    bracket creep

this Alternately, a consumtion oriented as opposed to income oriented taxation system could reduce bracket creep, but raises a whole lot of other equality problems.

    introduction for mod c essay

What has worked well from my experience for a mod C introduction is a clear thesis statement, which is then related to the question. followed by a sentence or two relating the two texts to the thesis. Then simply relate the thesis and texts to the question. For example; "How is the nature of...

    Belonging as a cliche

Erm, English is my worst subject actually. Economics and Physics, closely followed by 4-unit maths are my best.

    Belonging as a cliche

I'm going to have to disagree with you there, and here's why; Firstly, a couple of definitions; Objective - 'mind-independent' something that exists without an interperetation, i.e. facts. Subjective - 'dependent on the individual' - contextually imperative Now, most subjects can be...

    Related Texts for Julius Caesar

What I did for my supp texts was Secrets of the Freemasons by Nat Geo and Thank You For Smoking by Jason Reitman. Secrets, and other documentaries in general make good supplementary texts because they, by necessity, present two sides of an argument. However, bad documentaries are even better...

    Memorizing Essays.........

What I do to memorise my essays is separate is into idea chunks, that can be individually recalled. They don't even have to be essay related. For instance, in my conflicting perspectives essay I used a thesaurus to find some cool sounding words. It was just a matter of ordering the points, like...
