I do agree with you that the unit was a waste of time, but I am pretty sure that you can't major in management with our uni's commerce degree lol As for the OP, I had Sheri and she was pretty good.

The small grey/black book is good, but the other one is not necessary at all.

The only reason it lets people down with their grades is because they simply don't bother paying attention or studying the elements. As ameher said, go to lecture/or listen to ilecture fill in the blanks and study the lecture notes.

Azure is right with the BBA you'd be a jack of all trades and master of none. I did the BBA but I switched to B.Comm (HR major) as I wanted to focus on that and not have to do ACCG200 and AFIN253. You could switch to the B.Comm and double major in HR and Marketing, that seems like something...

It will ask you like 3 questions from the top of my head I can remember one of them being "How many tutorials are you required to attend to pass the unit?" or something like that. Easy stuff.

He's actually quite good, it's just that he is a bit of a douche bag. He always says something to discourage students, but try not to pay attention to that it's just the way he is.

You only really need the techniques book - "Mathematics of Finance" The other one "Financial Markets" or w/e it's called isn't necessary, in fact I never used it when I did ACST101.

That's interesting, ACST101 has a two hour lecture now instead of the two separate one hour lectures back when I did the unit. Are you in Westcott's lecture? If so do not talk to or take your phone out, Westcott is a hard ass and he calls people out for talking and playing on their phones.

For ACST101, don't let old man Westcott get to you. He will say things which discourage a lot of students, but just focus and do your revision etc and you will be fine. E.g. "if you don't know how to work this out in 15 secs you are already 4 weeks behind, and you should drop the unit and...

Ah ok, I had Michael Dobbie back when I did the unit last year. He was okay, but he normally didn't get around to finishing the last few slides. The one time I did have Prashan because my normal lecturer was away, I actually enjoyed that lecture haha
