Will having multiple preferences for the same university affect my odds?

For example, I have two preferences. my first preference is law at ANU, but my second is Arts at ANU. Say I just hit the cut off for law, will they knock me back based on the assumption that I'll probably choose the art degree anyway?

    Just Wondering?

I was in the same boat as you. Make sure you absolutely hate IPT before you switch, I hated it and my teacher was shit (just copied from the textbook every lesson), ultimately I got a band 6 with a mark of 95 or 96. The course is boring as fuck, but is actually quite easy. Felt more like easy...

Transferring between universities...will I have to wait to January?

Will I have to wait until January to find out if I'm successful, or is it likely that my application will be accepted/rejected during an earlier phase?

    Julian Assange to be extradited

obvious political agenda, but Assange is a little fucker. I cant wait for a time when 'leak' websites are run completely anonymous. When we dont have to have people holding information because they're scared for their safety.

    Best resources for self-teaching?

It's become evident that learning in class is impossible. I have gone through an entire year and class quality/teacher ability has not changed. I cannot waste anymore time, can someone point me in the direction of good resources to learn everything I need to? I've downloaded Chromomatic's...

How many pages should my history ex work journal be?

How many are the markers expecting? How many are other users doing?

    greens voters

I'll also have to say no for this question... but a better question would be: "cosmo kramer, a troll or just a sad child who needs attention because his parents dont show him enough affection?"

Best book you read in 2010?

I just purchased a hard cover copy of Thus Spake Zarathustra which was printed in 1908. It doesn't have any real value, but for $40 I just love the idea of owning a nietzsche book >100 years old :D (it's also a great book)

Can anyone help me understand how Parity Bit Check works?

Tell me if I am correct: Parity bit check is the 8th bit within a byte. All other bytes are represented with an ascii character, but the 8th bit is used to check whether a byte has been successfully received by counting the number of 1's within the byte. Eg: id the 8th bit knows there should...

    Awesome non-fiction books

Read these two and Gödel, Escher, Bach (stated earlier)..all are really interesting. However, If you are planning to read the Republic, let me warn you (although you probably already know...) that Plato is not actually suggesting such a society be created, but is using it as a teaching...

    Modern History Notes

OR, what if we include a historian and get the quote kinda wrong... or what if I go into the exam and make up the historian and the quote... eg: S4S_Australia suggests that German collapse was the result of diminished morale rather than a lack of resources... Will HSC markers have access to the...
