Hi guys,
I'm trying to sort out a double major for my degree in the areas of Ancient history and English, and in the requirements it is stipulated that I must complete "36 senior credit points of which 24(ancient) CP and 18(english) CP must derive from core senior units."
I've been looking...
The common room (I think it's called that) in the Education building has a small kitchenette that you can usually use > microwave, kettle. From memory I think it's on level 3.
This. From memory the bulk of EDUF1018 and 1019 were group assessment tasks, I can't recall the textbooks being of much use (though this was 2 years ago for me, and after awhile the units blur). Majority of EDUF readings are uploaded online though they do compile a reader for easier use and just...
I think it really depends on which you find most interesting, look at each of the topics in the syllabs and see if any 'jump out' and perhaps do a little reading on the net to provide further basis for your decision.
For my HSC, I did WWI -> Germany -> Riefenstahl -> Conflict in Europe; which...
Dux is based off the highest ATAR at my school also. Though there a number of Academic Excellence awards awarded for those who come first in the most subjects, and perform most academically internally.
Not really. I had my heart set somewhere else, and worked hard throughout year 12 to give me the best possible chance of getting there. n_n In saying that, I need an ATAR of around 85 to get there, which hopefully won't be too difficult to achieve. :)
Goodluck to those waiting on...

A huge congratulations to those who have been selected to showcase their majors at Artexpress, should be...
It's a really good incentive to try and steer some of the more academic students towards the university, and thus increase its reputation and results, etc. Although, I know several people (myself included) that are turning down the scholarship (as difficult as it may be) and going to other...
I also received the 20,000 UWS scholarship, though it wasn't on any of my 9 preferences, hehe.
Got shortlisted for a teaching scholarship, had my interview a couple of weeks ago, find out results in a couple more weeks. n_n The joys of waiting...
HSC 2011:
- Ancient History.
- Modern History.
- English.
- History Extension.
- Legal Studies.
- Earth and Environmental Studies.
- Studies of Religion II.
There's quite a few things you could note from Ancient Sparta that portrays the significance of religious festivals and religion in Spartan society, I'll list a few pieces of evidence that demonstrates this significance.
- Strict adherence to religious ritual caused them to be mocked by other...
I think there's a few missing from this thread, so I've attached a collective 'Speaking Sparta' glossary that my teacher created for my class when I studied Ancient History. n_n
The inclusion of drama in your subject combo discriminates from a lot of students who would have this combo. Not too worry, doing a unique combo doesn't impact you in any way at all.
Trust me, doing Earth threw my subject combo out of the traditional...
