Hey everyone!
I am currently in my second year of Med Sc and wondering about my future in this degree. Personally, I don't think there is much of career with just a medical science degree so I'm planning to do a bachelor of law.
Do you guys think that's a good idea? I was thinking I could...
Hi!
Doing 13 units isn't absolutely impossible. I did it all throughout prelim and HSC and still managed an ATAR of 95. (Not boasting, just showing that 13 units does not necessarily decrease your chance of acheiving an okay ATAR)
It definitely has a lot to do with your ability to handle the...
Hi! I'm truly sorry for your loss, it's absolutely horrible and espicially with your Trials coming up, I know it'll be an emotional rollercoaster.
My grandmother actually passed away two days before I had my English Trial paper so I know exactly what you're going through.
If I can give you any...
I don't think this is racist because I feel as those some nationalities heavily emphasise education and studying to a point that it becomes a bit too much.
Asians, South Asians and Middle Eastern in my experience are those more copious in making their kids study '24/7" but of course, some...
Basically, after completing my first semester, I've realised that I need a job if I want to be able to pay for transport, clothes etc. etc.
But I'm having a tough time finding jobs that will fit around a science course timetable.
I've made my timetable for next semester, and I can get...
I know I know, seems like a really mundane and amateur question but after being in HSC and knowing that I had to learn the syllabus and do past papers, I don't know what I need to do to study for exams in uni ...
I have a week to my exams.
I've made notes on all my lectures and I'm about to...
Forgive me for stating an overused statement, but deranged individuals DO NOT represent Islam as a whole.
Just as good Christians cannot reign in the people of the Westboro Baptist Church, or good Jews reigning in the ultra-Orthodox Jews (the Haredi Jews) in giving newborns herpes, good...
In my opinion, you need to balance quality and quantity. You can't assume writing 2 pages will get you high marks and at the same time, assume writing 10 pages will get you high marks. The main thing you have to do is answer the question and provide evidence. Further, your writing should be...
Absolutely agree with these posts. I got 96 for English and was simply due to having a concise yet sophisticated essay. My assessments throughout the year were high, so 14-15/15 or 19-20/20 but in trials, I went down from 1st in English to 10th due to my marks being in the low 80s. However, I...
I've had a few tests since starting uni and for most of them, I've managed to get 80%+ but I had a test on Monday, and I was extremely sick and I know I did horribly! It was 20% weighting and I really want to maintain a high GPA so ... has this test really destroyed my chances?
Sorry if this...
Generally it does. It's a small indicator of where everyone might be, but people change their studying habits in Year 12 or they simply want to acheive.
I know that in Year 11, I was 23rd in English and in Year 12 I managed to acheive 2nd.
Same with SOR2, I was 7th and got up to 3rd.
Anything...
I thought that would be the best idea, because my parents are also extremely judgmental. They honestly expected 99, because they both achieved equivalent to that in their studies. I honestly just wanted them off my back about the ATAR and so I thought lying to them would just put everything at...
Yep, 30% of Prelim Maths can be assessed in HSC. Plus, learning the stuff in Prelim (espicially in 3U) will be a foundation to the topics you learn in HSC.
If you can only focus on one of your subjects, I would really really recommend Maths (:
UWS and Med Sc!
Thanks guys, I'm just getting overwhelmed and get anxious quite quickly!
Does anyone have any tips on 'studying' in uni? I still don't understand it :(
I have been going to uni for 3 days and I've already become stressed, worried, anxious everything!
First of all, I don't know how I'm supposed to study for uni and all I've done is make my own notes from the lectures I've attended.
Secondly, I am yet to make one friend in my course.
And...
