Im going to start studying full time at uws? I have ques about job and studying?

Its important to assess your schedule (things like contact hours between uni, study times leisure etc). If its your first job try not to apply online, my personal experience, it was always dead ends. Take initiative, go to retail/supermarkets, talk to managers and hand a resume (make your resume...

Going to Insearch (already accepted), anyone already go or is going?

this may be too late but.. I would of taken a UWS approach if I wanted to transfer. If I didn't make the cut-off for next year, at least I still have a degree I can complete. InSearch is just too dam expensive.

Why do people look down on UTS business so much?

Doesn't matter what University you go to to get a degree whether it would be UTS, UWS, USYD etcetc. Scoring high marks is highly regarded scoring a job. Oh, as well as presentation, communication skills etc. I would believe......

    What are the chances?

Seek.com.au best option, if you know someone it would be easier of course. Cadetships generally work like 4 days work/1 day study. So you would have to take Uni part time, if your course allows it of course. Sometimes you can find an accounting firm that work flexible with your Uni timetable...

    What are the chances?

In regards to landing a job, a good WAM or GPA is preferred if you haven't finished your degree however, there are other aspects such as communicating and working diligently which are just as important. Some general question interviewers like to ask is generally to do with the...

How/where do i get a train concession card?

I got my Student ID at the main Building (engineering student centre), I might just go to my student central which is at Building 6. I'm just going to lie and say "I forgot to get my concession sticker", if they ask if I'm working, I'm just going to say no #YOLO

if i a transfer after 1st year, do i continue to 2nd year

You can start from YEAR 1 or submit a transcript for credit exemptions/recognition, reducing the amount of years you need to attend studying. To put it in somewhat perspective, if you are studying Engineering and transfer to UTS Engineering, you could be exempted from doing 2 AUTUMN and 2 SPRING...

How/where do i get a train concession card?

I went to UTS today to get my photo ID done. I never knew, you need to be a full time student (which I am) and have NO JOB (Full/Part/Casual) to be eligible for a concession card (that sticker)..... Are you serious?!?!?!?! So unfair.

    Transferring from UWS to USYD

I had a friend who had done the same thing. Make sure you score credit averages (65%+) in all your subjects. Scoring an overall GPA below 5 (below credit average) can reduce your chances of getting a transfer but not all hope is gone. Note: My friend scored a GPA of 4.5/7 I think and was able...

    Help with best engineering university

Just to clarify, UTS takes an extra year because it is required you take 1 year Internship. It is also possible to break your Intern into 6 months blocks. Either way, great way to gain experience, job offer and some dam decent money during Uni. :)

Vacancies, after the round offer? If there is no V what does it mean?

Basically if there is no "V", there are no vacancies left to accommodate for new students. Try adding your course as a first preference anyways, there might be a spot if people don't accept their offer. Goodluck :)
