    CONQUER YOUR HSC TRIALS-free seminars-from a 99+ student

Do you have any final details for people attending? (e.g. where in the library - I've never been to Parramatta library before - what to bring, etc.) Thanks :)

    Polynomials Question

    Okay, thank you!

    Polynomials Question

From Cambridge Year 12 3 unit, Exercise 4D The two parts are similar so how would I generally approach this type of question, as well as specifically with this one? Thanks! :)

    Holiday Progress

Ah yeah you're on French exchange - how's it going? :) I can imagine that it's frustrating, wanting to study and have a holiday at the same time. At least it's helping your French, though!

    Holiday Progress

Voted 'okay' - hah it's interesting that no one chose 'super content'. Personally I slacked off at the beginning of the holidays, managed to get a bit of work done, then got a big chunk finished when I was studying at the library. Definitely still feels like there's a lot to do, though. Had a...

    2014'ers Chit-Chat Thread

Assessments over for the term! Yay! :D And yeah the battery thing is really pointless, practising writing as you would during an exam also gives you a better estimate of how much you can write, and hence gives you better capacity to prepare.

    2014'ers Chit-Chat Thread

I'm on 13 units as well - I've got a unique situation though, accelerated 2 unit maths, but since I'm doing ext 1 maths as well I have to attend all the maths lessons. xD so it's not that bad because I don't usually do the homework for 2 unit, though I do have more assessments than other people...

Dropping my 11th unit? Doing 10 Units?

Are you confused about what happens when you've got an odd number of units? Because if you've got 11 units and ext music is one of your best, your worst 2 unit subject will be split in half and one unit of it will count Sent from my HTC_PN071 using Tapatalk

    Am I cold hearted?

Agreed! And, as previously stated, there would be additional selection criteria for high-demand courses.

    'Restrictions' on related texts?

    Okay, that makes sense. Thanks!

    'Restrictions' on related texts?

What are the restrictions on the texts you can choose for related texts? Are you restricted from using prescribed texts for any of the English courses or...? Thanks :)

If that happened at my school you'd get zero for all of them xD

    Post your subject regrets

Hmm, difficult to say. Chemistry doesn't come easily to me at all, despite doing fine in Yr 10 Science - however, I am enjoying the Energy topic a lot more. I also wish I had given Modern History a try, and maybe Japanese, back in Year 7. Don't really regret my other subjects.

Perms and Combs question (arrangements in a circle)

This is part that I'm having trouble understanding...if you could expand on it? Thanks!

Perms and Combs question (arrangements in a circle)

From Cambridge Yr 12 3 unit, Exercise 10I A committee of 3 women and 7 men is to be seated randomly at a round table. a) What is the probability that the 3 females will sit together? b) The committee elects a president and vice-president. What is the probability that they are sitting opposite...

Subject Selection- Need help with the choosing of a few subjects!

Just go with 14 units first, gives you room to drop later (it's what I did) - better than limiting yourself now and potentially regretting it later. Also, you won't necessarily know what the workload is like until you give it a try - I have friends who are perfectly capable of handling 14 units...

Year 11 2013 Chit Chat Thread

My school doesn't really have 'have yearlies' in Year 11 - it's not until Year 12 that we have designated assessment blocks each term. So far I've basically had an assessment every one or two weeks, which is draining >_<
