    What subject? 96 in something like SDD has been a state rank in the past but a 98 in Mathematics was not.

    We were contacted a few days ago, and told to keep it confidential until the ceremony (which is why this is an anonymous account). EDIT: for all I know, people are still being contacted. I got an email and a phone call.

    I came first in state in a moderately competitive subject this year. My school is low-ranked and my trial/assessment results in the subject were all mediocre. The school you go to doesn't really affect your chances IMO.
