    hi in insight text book, hsc course 2, question 4D, 2e Which average would you use in a wage case if you were the union representative? The answer is mode. Is that because a union representative would only have access to categorical data? Thank you in advance for any answers

    let f(x) = e^2 times e^-x. times both sides by e^x. take logs of both sides to get an expression for x. and then exchange x and y to get a inverse function.

    hi if x = e^2-y, the differiate of this is -e^2-y .Then this is dx over dy and dy over dx will be the recripocal of -e^2-x. Times these together and you get -1.

    Re: HSC 2013 3U Marathon Thread a^2-4.2(b+3) is greater than or equal to zero for a minimum a^2 = 8b + 24 let a^2 + b^2 = 8b + 24 + b^2 for b+3 = 0 this does give the answer as 9 but why should i let b+ 3 =0 ? is it a critical point?

    hi has anyone done a question from cambridge year 11 3 unit 2x^2 + ax + b+ 3 = 0 find the minimum value of a^2 + b^2. The equations has real roots. i get 8 ,the answers have 9
