UNSW vs USYD vs Macquarie vs UTS Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering!!!

yes they matter; for grad jobs you will need them. Some places don't ask for them but these places are not such great places to work; e.g. top tier companies will need them. But there is lots of other criteria for a job too; so the transcript is not the only thing. But it can take you places...

UNSW vs USYD vs Macquarie vs UTS Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering!!!

UNSW or USyd only; else stay in Canberra. Maybe try ANU if possible. Mac and UWS are tier three or worse; you won't end up in a good job; this is certain. The employers do look at university and they look at your scores. Mac, UTS, USW are super easy universities to score at; I know people...

B Eng/B Sci at UTS or UNSW

UNSW!!!!!! UTS is nowhere near the reputation of UNSW in engineering. I did eng/science from UNSW; and I know people from UTS and the jobs they are working in now (not so good); also UNSW engineers would earn higher, get the jobs easier, etc.

    Textbook Costs!

I only bought books for my PhD; even those were paid for. Never needed books for undergrad; forget them; or if you really cant, buy second hand and sell them later; they are pretty useless, the basic 1st year ones. Serway and Jewet if I remember was Physics (back in 2006); but the edition may...

UQ or UNSW? in Chemical Engineering

UNSW without a doubt compared to UQ; Sydney vs Brisbane! blah!!! Also, rankings are not always accurate (whether UNSW is no 1 or not), but they do take a lot into account to come up with them. Also, for masters, PhD etc, you could always go elsewhere after getting a solid degree.

Civil Engineering - USYD (with scholarship) vs. UNSW

same as Parvee.... USYD. UNSW is very good at civil; but USYD wouldn't be far behind. It's almost a no brainer. I went to UNSW btw and I've worked with engineers from USyd, and they are as good.

    USYD or UNSW?

Science/Arts would be Sydney, particularly for the Arts. And thats because Sydney is known for its Arts and Humanities compared to UNSW which doesn't really excel there at all. Also Fine arts is a not on the Kensington Campus; its a smaller building in Paddington. The Sydney campus would be...

UTS vs UNSW - Construction Management

UTS is more applied construction management; and would be an easier degree from what I hear. Although, UNSW would probably be a better degree though, if you want to get better jobs. It will put you in a better management role later. Also more research opportunities.
