Tbh you're pretty much guaranteed a spot. The interview is just a formality. I got an interview last year for entry into Year 11 as well and the principal basically just emphasised the importance of extra curricular activities and leading a balanced lifestyle. So don't stress about it!! Good luck :)

Our prescribed text is The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. And I originally wanted to use Lord of the Flies as my related text but my teacher said I can't because we've already studied it in year 9. But I think I've now decided on using Robinson Crusoe.

I did it a different way. I did: y^4 - 15y^2 - 44 = 0 let y^2 = u u^2 - 15u - 44 = 0 (u-11)(u-4) = 0 Therefore, u = 11 or u = 4 Sub that back into y^2 = u y^2 = 11 or y^2 = 4 Therefore y = square root of 11 or y = square root of 4

Thank you so much!! A lot of people were discouraging me from taking these subjects but I chose them anyway because I liked them. They said that the assessment tasks would be around the same time so it would be difficult to study for them and manage. Any tips on how to work around that? Thanks...
