Hello, thanks for the responses, was wondering is there anything said on the Board Of Studies to do with this? Whether or not a teacher can force you to take part in a course. I cant find any, only previous posts about this topic
Thanks for the reply Shoesta, but im currently wondering whether the teacher can seriously stop me from doing the course, oh and thanks for the advice about the 10 units
Hi, currently im at 12 units for the preliminary course, and for my HSC subjects im wishing to drop 2 subjects (worth 3 units) and pick up Maths Ext 2. which then will bring me to a total of 10 units. However the head maths teacher in my school told me it was an invitational subject and that i...
Thanks alot, im still lost for the circle locus question though, i have no idea where to start on that question, do i use a cartesian equation to solve it?
1. For what values of 'b' is the line y=3x+b, a tangent to y=X^3 ?
2. AB is a chord of length 16 units of the circle x^2 + y^2= 100 and P is the midpoint of AB. Determine the locus of P.
3. b) of attachement
thanks in advance
If P(x,y) is any point on the line y=4x+3 show that the midpoint 'M' of OP has coordinates (x/2,1/2(4x+3)). Hence find the locus of M. (O is the origin), dont understand when it asks for the 'locus of M'.
Given two points A(3,-2) and B(-1,7), find the equation of the locus of P(x,y) if the gradient of PA is twice the gradient of PB. Im unsure on how to solve this question.
